My name is Richard G. Karwaczka and I am the Republican Candidate running for Superior Court Judge. Before I ask for your vote, I wanted to write to you today to share my story with you. I want you to know who I am and the qualities I bring to the bench before you vote.

I Am The Candidate With A Strong Work Ethic
I Am The Candidate With A Strong Work Ethic
I have served in different leadership roles in Cochise County, and I have excelled in each one of them through hard work. I attribute my hard work and dedication to my parents. Growing up in the Chicago area, my dad was a butcher, and my mom was a cleaning lady. Both of my parents never graduated high school because they had to find work to support their family. They worked hard and achieved a lot. We weren’t rich, but we never went hungry, we always had clothes to wear, and a roof over our heads. I learned an important lesson from them which I continue to use the rest of my life. They taught me the values of fiscal responsibility and hard work – I recognize that if you work harder than anyone else, you can succeed. This gave me the drive to be the first one in my family to earn a college degree and then my law degree.

I Am The Candidate With The Most Legal Experience
I have over 20 years of legal experience in different areas of law. Throughout my career, I have chosen to work in challenging fields that require the greatest amount of skill.. I started my legal career as a prosecutor. After working for the government, I started my own law firm while also running several pizza restaurants. This added to my legal and real world experience. I started to expand my legal knowledge in different areas. I learned a lot in family law, personal injury, and helping small businesses. Then, I moved to Cochise County 8 years ago, which changed my life forever. Here, I worked my way up to serving as the Public Defender by handling the most serious and difficult cases in the County.

I Am The Candidate With The Most Leadership Experience
I have held leadership roles throughout the legal community as well as in Cochise County. In 2020, I became the County Administrator, which is the highest leadership position without being elected. As a leader, I always lead by example and believe it takes a group effort to make positive changes. One of my favorite quotes is from Henry Ford, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”
