Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (LOM) is an association of outdoor ministry organizations, professionals, board members, businesses, and students connected to Lutheran camping, conferences, and retreats. Our programs reach God’s children of all ages though summer camping programs, retreat opportunities, hospitality, team building activities, and partnership with congregations.

In partnership with Rainbow Trail, Spend a week hiking through the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains with other young adults from all over the country. With gear, food, rafting, permits, and a guest young adult speaker to lead the spiritual side of the trip all provided, come join us for a relaxing adventure by a mountain lake. Spend your days fishing, exploring, taking in the scenery or peaking a nearby mountain, your itinerary is up to you and what you need!

Leadership Training Event (LTE)
The purpose of the LTE is to provide an entry-level educational opportunity for outdoor ministry professionals. The LTE helps to develop well-trained, committed, and diverse outdoor ministry professionals; enhance the quality of outdoor ministry programs; support professionals through formal and information learning; and assist in the retention of professionals in the network

Two classes from the outdoor ministry continuing education certificate program, Compass Points, will be held in October at St. Columba Episcopal Center in Memphis, TN. One of the instructors of Articulating Our Mission, Role, and Values will be LOM’s own Margie Fiedler, executive director of Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp, MT.

Widening the Welcome at ELCA Outdoor Ministries” is a collaborative effort of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) churchwide organization and Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (LOM). Total Inclusion! is an opportunity to inspire, educate and resource LOM organizations as they move toward a wider and more intentional inclusion of people who have been historically marginalized in the church – especially people of color, people with disabilities and people who identify as LGBTQIA
