I am most interested in topics within the philosophy of mind, specifically phenomenology, memory, and our ability to introspect about internal processes. I have a recent interest in applying a phenomenological lens to applied ethics.
I often apply these interests historically, engaging in a method of finding gaps or tensions in a thinker's system and trying to charitably and faithfully resolve these issues. Thus far, I have experience applying this method to Locke's notion of reflection, but I am exploring how I might apply my historical method to Wittgenstein's (middle to late period) remarks on the mind, especially aspect-switching.
