●We can keep your luggage both before check in and after check out.
●Communal bath is available 15:00~24:00 / 06:00～09:00.
●Guests can write Buddhist texts with a brush and ink on scrolls in their rooms for free.
●There is no curfew.
●We accept donations for temple renovations. Please let us know at check-in if you are able to do so.
●Prayer and memorial services are also available. For more details, please see the introduction page of each of them.
14:00～ Check in
Please check in between 14:00 and 17:30
※We might not be able to serve your dinner if you arrive after 17:30.
※In above case, it might be regarded as a cancellation, please understand we can’t give you a refund.
16:30～ Ajikan meditation
Ajikan meditation is a method of meditation for Esoteric Buddhism.
A monk explains how to meditate and the purpose of this meditation at the beginning in
the meditation hall.
Please have a relaxing time away from your busy life.
It is held everyday from 16:30 for 30 minutes. Free of charge for the guests who stay at Ekoin.
17:30～ Dinner（Buddhist vegetarian cuisine）
Basically the meals we serve to the guests are Syoujin-Ryouri (Buddhist vegetarian
cuisine), excluding any meat, fish, eggs, dairy, onion and garlic for dinner and breakfast.
Contents may be changed depending on the season.
Size and contents are little different between the meal type.

19:00～ Okunoin Cemetery Night Tour（For fee）
There is an optional tour organized by AWESOME TOURS.
A guided monk takes you to the cemetery and telling the story and history about
Koyasan, the founder of Koyasan “Kobo-Daishi”, monk’s life and teaching of Esoteric
Buddhism.
We recommend you visit the Okunoin cemetery both day and night.
In addition, it will be more interesting visit after the tour with more information.
Ekoin is a meeting point but this tour is organized by the different travel agency.

You can make a reservation upon your arrival but they stop accepting the bookings when it
becomes full.
So we recommend you make your reservation in advance.

07:00～ Morning service
It is held at our main temple.
Morning ceremony is for the memorial service. We have devoted ourselves to pray for the
repose of ancestors' souls for more than a thousand year in Ekoin.
It is free of charge to attend it for the guests who stay at Ekoin.

07:30～ Goma fire ritual
This is the prayer for the people who want to make a wish in contrast to morning service.
We hold it every morning.

08:00～ Breakfast（Buddhist Vegetarian cuisine）
Breakfast is little simple content which is gentle to your body.
Please enjoy sightseeing around Koyasan with good condition.
