THE CHOW-CRETE IS A REIMAGINED URBAN FOOD COURT THAT EMPHASIZES LOCAL FLAVORS AND CULTURE THROUGH ITS ARCHITECTURE, USING A BOLD BRUTALIST DESIGN. INSPIRED BY THE VIBRANT ENERGY OF MALAYSIAN STREET MARKETS, THIS PROJECT AIMS TO CREATE A COMMUNAL SPACE WHERE STREET FOOD AND ENVIRONMENT COME TOGETHER TO OFFER AN IMMERSIVE DINING EXPERIENCE.
THE ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT DRAWS FROM THE RAW AND HONEST AESTHETIC OF BRUTALISM WITH EXPOSED CONCRETE FORMS, FUNCTIONAL DESIGN, AND AN EMPHASIS ON OPEN SPACES. THE OPEN MARKET AND FOOD COURT FEATURES A CIRCULAR RAMP AT ITS HEART, ECHOING THE ORGANIC FLOW OF TRADITIONAL HAWKER CENTERS WHILE ALSO INTEGRATING MODERN AMENITIES TO ENSURE USERS EXPERIENCE THE LOCAL STREET AMBIENCE.
