The SALT Project is a two-year research initiative led by the University of the Philippines Los Baños, in collaboration with the University of the Philippines Diliman (Institute of Environmental Science and Meteorology and Institute of Civil Engineering) and De La Salle University. It focuses on comprehensive monitoring of saltwater intrusion in the groundwater of Sanga-Sanga Island, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, generating critical data to support sustainable water resource management and protect freshwater access for local communities.
