Dr. Mayzonee Ligaray (Mei) is a licensed Metallurgical Engineer. She took her Masters of Science in Environmental Engineering in the University of the Philippines Diliman which focused on wastewater treatment. This led to a realization that her passion for research lies with the water environment. Dr. Mei immediately pursued a doctorate degree in Environmental Science and Engineering at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology in Ulsan, Republic of Korea, where she also did her post doctorate studies. Her research interests focus on Hydrology which includes, but not limited to, the following: Water Resources and Watershed Management, Water Quality Monitoring and Modeling, Fate and Transport Modeling of Pollutants and Bacteria, and Environmental Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Remote Sensing. She co-authored several papers published in SCI journals.

Dr. Mei hails from Iligan City, Lanao del Norte and likes drinking sweet coffee, swimming, and singing during her free time.
