Aim of EGG Lab (研究目標)

To understand Geohazards, we use the methods of Engineering Geology, rock mechanics, geomorphological interpretation, geologic survey, and geotechnical exploration. The geohazards such as deep-seated landslide,  gravitational slope deformation, rockfall, rock avalanche, planar failure, wedge failure, and etc. Study items consist of establishment of slope geologic model, assessment of triggering factors, discussion of failure mechanisms, identification of potential landslide areas, and evaluation of slope evolution scenarios. Study results could be reference for the strategy of disaster prevention and reduction.

利用工程地質學、岩石力學、地形分析、地質調查與地工探查等方法,了解地質災害事件。例如:深層崩塌、邊坡重力變形、落石、岩崩、平面型滑動、楔型破壞等不同山崩類型之調查。研究項目包含建立坡體地質模型分析誘發因子、探討破壞機制、探索是否有相似之潛在崩塌區、評估未來坡體發育之情境,將研究成果作為防減災策略之參考。
