Effortless Budget (“the App”) is operated by SREE MAHIT MUNAKALA, doing business as Effortless Builds (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, why it is used, where it is stored, and how you can manage or delete it.
Effortless Budget processes information you choose to enter, including:
• Transaction amounts, dates, notes, and currency
• Expense, income, fixed-spend, and splurge classifications
• Category names, category types, spending limits, and display order
• Monthly budget names and amounts
• Recurring-transaction settings and related identifiers
• Your selected currency
Transaction notes are free-form. They may contain personal information if you choose to enter it.
The App stores settings such as:
• Selected currency
• Onboarding status
• Automatic-backup preference and frequency
• Last successful backup date
• Analytics-consent preference
Effortless Budget includes Google Analytics for Firebase. Analytics is disabled by default and may be enabled through Effortless Budget > ••• > App support.
If enabled, Firebase Analytics may process:
• App interactions and session information
• App version and screen information
• Device type, operating-system information, and language
• Approximate geographic information derived from network information
• A randomly generated app-instance identifier
• Other technical or diagnostic information associated with App use
We do not intentionally send transaction amounts, budgets, category names, transaction notes, or chosen currency to Firebase Analytics.
Google explains that Firebase Analytics generates an app-instance identifier and may collect session, approximate-location, and device information in its Analytics data-collection documentation.
Effortless Budget does not create or maintain a separate App account. It does not require your name, email address, telephone number, payment-card information, or banking credentials.
Use of iCloud features depends on the Apple Account configured on your device. We do not receive your Apple Account password.
The App does not:
• Connect to your bank
• Display third-party advertisements
• Track your activity across other companies’ apps or websites
• Sell or rent personal information
• Use financial information for advertising
• Share financial information with data brokers
• These statements must be reassessed if App features, SDKs, or business practices change.
Information is processed to:
• Record and organize transactions
• Calculate budgets, totals, limits, and spending summaries
• Display recurring and upcoming transactions
• Synchronize App data across your devices through iCloud
• Create automatic or manual backups
• Restore information from a backup
• Remember your settings
• Improve App usability through optional analytics
Financial records are stored in a SwiftData database within the App’s storage on your device.
If iCloud or CloudKit is unavailable, the App continues using device-local storage.
On supported devices signed into iCloud, SwiftData may synchronize App records through the user’s private CloudKit database.
Apple states that private CloudKit databases are accessible only to their user by default, belong to that user, and are not visible through the developer portal. See Apple’s CloudKit documentation.
Automatic backup is enabled by default with a weekly frequency. You may change it to daily or monthly, or disable it, through:
Effortless Budget > ••• > Backup data
You may also create a backup manually by opening that screen and tapping Done.
The App maintains one rolling JSON backup named current.effortless-backup. Each successful backup replaces the previous backup.
When iCloud Documents is available, the backup is stored there. Otherwise, it is stored in the App’s local Documents directory. When an iCloud backup is successfully created, an older local fallback may be removed.
Because the backup is a snapshot, a record deleted from the main database may remain in the current backup until another successful backup replaces it or you delete the backup manually.
Apple provides App Store distribution, device storage, iCloud Documents, and CloudKit synchronization. Apple processes information according to its own privacy terms and your Apple Account settings.
When you enable analytics, Google processes analytics information on our behalf. Google may process information wherever it or its service providers operate. Google describes these practices in its Firebase privacy and security documentation and Google Privacy Policy.
Firebase is not used to store your budgets, transactions, categories, or notes.
The App includes third-party open-source packages used for visual effects. They are not used by the App to collect or transmit your financial information.
We may disclose information if legally required, necessary to protect rights or safety, or required to investigate fraud or misuse. Because we do not ordinarily receive your financial records, we generally cannot disclose records stored only on your device or in your private iCloud storage.
Transactions remain until you delete them. To delete a transaction:
1. Find the transaction in the App.
2. Swipe left on it.
3. Tap Delete.
4. Confirm deletion.
Categories may be deleted using the corresponding swipe-to-delete action. Deletions are saved locally and, when CloudKit synchronization is active, are expected to synchronize to your other devices.
To stop new automatic backups:
1. Open Effortless Budget.
2. Tap •••.
3. Tap Backup data.
4. Turn off Automatic backup.
Turning off automatic backup does not delete an existing backup.
To delete an iCloud Documents backup:
1. Open Apple’s Files app.
2. Tap Browse, then iCloud Drive.
3. Open the Effortless Budget folder.
4. Delete current.effortless-backup.
To remove it immediately, open Recently Deleted and delete it there.
Apple states that iCloud Drive items normally remain recoverable in Recently Deleted for 30 days unless permanently removed sooner. See Apple’s file-deletion instructions.
Current App version does not provide one in-app “Delete all data” control.
To remove device-local App data and any local fallback backup, touch and hold the Effortless Budget icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App.
Deleting the App may not remove information already synchronized to iCloud. To remove Effortless Budget data from iCloud, use:
Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Storage or Manage Account Storage > Effortless Budget > Delete Data from iCloud
Names and placement of these controls may vary by iOS version. Follow Apple’s displayed confirmation instructions. Also separately delete the rolling backup from iCloud Drive as described above.
To stop future analytics collection:
1. Open Effortless Budget.
2. Tap •••.
3. Tap App support.
4. Turn off the analytics toggle.
Turning analytics off disables future Analytics collection from the App and resets analytics data stored locally by the Firebase SDK. Information previously transmitted may remain in Google Analytics until removed under its configured retention settings or converted into aggregate reporting.
Configured Google Analytics retention period: 2 months
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the App’s design. Financial records are kept in App-controlled storage and, when available, the user’s private iCloud environment.
No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, uninterrupted synchronization, successful backup, or recovery of every record.
We do not describe the App’s data as “anonymous,” “bank-grade,” or independently encrypted unless those claims are separately verified.
Effortless Budget is not directed to children under 13 or any higher minimum age required by local law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an App account because the App has no account system. Parents or guardians who believe a child has enabled analytics or supplied information requiring action may contact us using the details above.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent.
Most financial information can be viewed, corrected, and deleted directly within the App. Because we cannot ordinarily access information stored only on your device or in your private iCloud database, we may be unable to retrieve or delete that information for you remotely.
You may withdraw analytics consent at any time using the steps above. Contact sreemahit@gmail.com for other privacy questions or requests.
We may update this Privacy Policy when App features, storage practices, service providers, or legal requirements change.
The updated policy will be published at the same privacy-policy URL with a revised effective date. When required by law, material changes will also be communicated through the App, App Store release notes, or another appropriate notice before they take effect.
This Policy and disputes concerning it are governed by the laws of California, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory privacy or consumer-protection rights that apply where you live.
