Effective Altruism Wooster

Effective Altruism is about one simple question: how can we use our resources to help others the most?

At EA Wooster, our main goal is to equip students with the knowledge to do good in the world more effectively. To help members learn more about EA, we have weekly socials, a semesterly fellowship, a library of EA-related books, and career advising sessions.

Do you want to learn more about us? Well, we’d love to have you. We encourage you to click 'Contact Us' to talk to one of us or "More EA" to be directed to other, larger, EA organizations. Also, if you are looking for out fellowship application, the button below will send you there!

EA Wooster Meets Peter Singer

In the Fall of 2019, EA Wooster traveled to hear Peter Singer, the famous contemporary philosopher, discuss the importance of using logic and evidence when trying to do good.

EA Wooster Hikes

Covid-permitting, EA Wooster enjoys frequent hikes to the nearby parks. We've been to Spangler and Wooster Memorial; they're always a great time.

Sharing EA in Lowry

EA Wooster members Rephael, Brendan, and Kaylee are seen tabling in Lowry, sharing the concepts of EA with their fellow students.
