The Annual Workshop for the EE HPC WG brings together those concerned with HPC energy efficiency and energy conservation of both computing equipment and facilities. The workshop - which will be virtual this year - has a broad scope ranging from topics covering energy/power efficiency in silicon and components, through platform integration, software, and firmware and up to the data center, facility, and connection to the utility provider. Because of this broad scope, we will engage a wide spectrum of participants- both facilities and operationally focused people as well as computer engineers and architects- which enhances the discussions and sharing that occurs. This workshop will include presentations, discussions and panels that present experiences of early adopters and innovators in operational practices and technologies that are geared towards improving energy and power management capabilities. This workshop will explore these operational and technological innovations that span HPC computational systems as well as buildings and building infrastructure.
