EDY-Labs Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how EdgeWit, published by EDY-Labs, handles information when you use the browser extension. EdgeWit is designed to process information locally on your device.

Information handled

When you explicitly use an EdgeWit feature, the extension may process webpage text, images, URLs, titles, links, extracted keywords, summaries, local search vectors, settings, and content that you choose to save.

How information is used

EdgeWit uses this information only to capture, summarize, search, answer questions about, and save content at your request. Saved page bodies are encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM. Search metadata and local vectors remain on the device for local search.

Sharing and tracking

EDY-Labs does not sell or transfer website content to third parties. EdgeWit has no telemetry SDK, analytics identifiers, advertising trackers, required cloud AI endpoint, CDN script, or automatic model-download service. Page content is not sent to a remote AI service by the extension’s default local workflow.

Permissions

EdgeWit uses browser permissions to identify the active tab, read content when you invoke an action, store local settings and saved knowledge, provide context-menu actions, and display its side panel. It does not intentionally collect unrelated browsing history, passwords, payment information, or authentication credentials.

Your choices

Saving content is explicit. You can delete saved knowledge and local extension data through EdgeWit’s settings and data controls. You can disable local generation and use deterministic local fallbacks.

Changes and contact

EDY-Labs may update this policy when EdgeWit’s behavior changes. Questions about this policy can be raised through the EdgeWit Chrome Web Store support channel.
