Edward Thruston was born January 30th, 1638, in Bristol England. His parents were John Thruston (1606) and Thomasine Ritch (1604). He was baptized February 3, 1638, at St. Thomas the Martyr church, in Bristol.
His birth was documented by his father, John Thruston (1606), in the Thruston Family Register.
His baptismal record can be found in the registers of St. Thomas the Martyr church.
From Wikipedia (July 5, 2024):
St Thomas the Martyr is a former Church of England parish church on St Thomas Street in the Redcliffe district of the English port city of Bristol.
It has a 14th-century tower, but the nave was rebuilt 1791–93 by James Allen. A substantial reordering was carried out by William Venn Gough between 1878 and 1880, and the top of the tower was remodeled with spirelet, pinnacles, and pierced parapet by Gough in 1896–97.
About 1663 a 25-year-old Edward Thruston emigrated to the colony of Virginia. He and his brother Malachi Thruston (1636) were both documented in Virginia by 1666.
According to Jerry Long, author of The Thruston Family Register, the Thruston brothers were in Virginia by 1663:
"R. C. Ballard Thruston, a family historian, in his notes recorded that the records of Norfolk County, Virginia show that the brothers first settled there in 1663".
I have not yet found these Norfolk County records.

The original entry in Edward Thruston's handwriting:
Edward Thruston and Anne Loving had two children, as documented by Edward in the Thruston Family Register:
John Thruston (1668) born in Martins Hundred, Virginia
Thomasine Thruston (1670) born in Bristol, England
By 1670 Edward Thruston and Anne Loving had returned to Bristol, England. Their daughter Thomasine was born in Bristol on November 28, 1670.
Thomasine died one week later on December 5, 1670, and was buried the next day at St. Thomas the Martyr.
Edward's wife Anne Loving died on December 17, 1670 and was also buried the next day at St. Thomas the Martyr.
Perhaps the gravestones on this 1838 engraving mark their graves.
Edward Thruston married Susannah Perry on September 3, 1671, at St. Thomas the Martyr Church in Bristol, England.
Edward Thruston and Anne Loving had four children, as documented by Edward in the Thruston Family Register:
Thomasine Thruston (1672)
Elizabeth Thruston (1675)
Mary Thruston (1677)
Edward Thruston (1679)
Edward's wife Susannah Perry died on August 2, 1683 and was buried at the Parish Church at Ashton (now called Long Ashton), England.
Church of All Saints, Long Ashton, is her likely place of burial.
By 1717 (possibly many years earlier) Edward Thruston (1638) had returned to Virginia to live with his son, Edward Thruston, Jr. (1679). His son had married Elizabeth Housden (1685) there in 1706.
Edward Thruston, Jr's (1679) first entry in the family register:
Edward Thruston, Jr. (1679) married Elizabeth Housden in Virginia on August 31st, 1706:
Edward Thruston's posterity is unknown. He likely died in Virginia, sometime after the last mention of him by his son on June 13, 1717, in the Thruston Family Register.
