¿Por qué apreder español? = Why to learn Spanish?
Razón 1: Es un lenguaje global
El español es el segundo idioma más hablado en el mundo y el idioma más hablado en las Américas. Es el idioma oficial (o cooficial) en España, la mayoría de los países de América Central y del Sur, y varios países del Caribe también. Es un lenguaje útil para saber cuándo hacer negocios con empresas españolas o latinoamericanas, y una excelente manera de fortalecer su CV y mejorar sus perspectivas profesionales. Solo en los Estados Unidos hay más de 50 millones de personas que hablan español como su idioma nativo o como segundo idioma. Así que, incluso si no te apetece un trotamundos, el español es probablemente el idioma más útil para aprender si deseas flexionar los músculos de tu idioma a diario.
Razón 2: en los EE. UU., Las oportunidades de inmersión están a tu alrededor

Nada te motiva a seguir como las pequeñas victorias que se obtienen al hablar y ser comprendido.
Razón 4: Podría estar en tu sangre
Más de 50 millones de estadounidenses reclaman alguna herencia hispana. ¿Vos si? No hay mejor manera de reconectarse con sus antepasados que aprendiendo su idioma. Razón 5: Sumérgete en la cultura latina.
No importa cómo elija aprender español (en línea, clases, un tutor, aplicaciones, una estadía en casa en un país hispanohablante), la mejor manera de mantenerse interesado y motivado es a través del compromiso con la cultura hispanohablante. Incluso si vive en una cabaña en el bosque sin nadie cerca con quien hablar español, puede conectarse al idioma español a través de su arte, música, cine y literatura.
Interiorice la pronunciación en español y la cadencia del habla escuchando las noticias en la radio en español y mirando películas y telenovelas. Cante la música cantada en español: flamenco español, jazz cubano, rock mexicano, salsa puertorriqueña, tango argentino ... Es igualmente satisfactorio explorar la lengua española a través de la literatura: de Miguel de Cervantes, el primer novelista moderno; a poetas como Octavio Paz, Federico García Lorca y Pablo Neruda; a los realistas mágicos Gabriel García Márquez y Jorge Luis Borges; A novelistas más contemporáneos como Isabel Allende, Reinaldo Arenas, Roberto Bolaño y Laura Esquivel.

Reason 1: It’s A Global Language

Americans see and hear Spanish often (on signs, on the radio and TV, in eavesdropped bits of conversation…). Instead of tuning out this second language that surrounds you, why not tune in? Once you start learning a little Spanish, every encounter with the language is an opportunity to practice and improve. Order Mexican food in Spanish, put on Spanish-language radio or TV while you’re doing chores around the house, add some Spanish-language publishers to your news feed… And the best part is that none of this requires taking vacation time or booking expensive plane tickets.
Reason 3: It’s Easy To Learn And To Start Speaking
Spanish is considered one of the easiest languages for a native English speaker to learn. The grammar and pronunciation are different from English, but simpler and more consistent. Because English acquired almost 30% of its vocabulary from Latin, you will immediately recognize and understand many Spanish words that share the same roots. You can communicate a lot with simple grammar, so even before you’ve reached a high level of comprehension you will be able to communicate and express yourself. Nothing motivates you to keep going quite like the little victories that come through speaking and being understood.
Reason 4: It Might Be In Your Blood
Over 50 million Americans claim some Hispanic heritage. Do you? There’s no better way to reconnect to your ancestors than by learning their language. Even without Hispanic heritage, you might find an affinity for a new language that allows you to express yourself in a different way and fosters aspects of your personality that might not come through in your native tongue.
Reason 5: Dive Into Latino Culture
No matter how you choose to learn Spanish (online, classes, a tutor, apps, a home stay in a Spanish-speaking country), the best way to stay interested and motivated is through engagement with Spanish-speaking culture. Even if you live in a cabin in the woods with no one around with whom to speak Spanish, you can connect to the Spanish language through its art, music, cinema and literature.
Internalize Spanish pronunciation and the cadence of speech by listening to the news on Spanish-language radio, and by watching movies and telenovelas.
