ED TOTEM

Ed Totem, born J. Edson Echegaray Bengoa on September 14th - 1975, is a Peruvian Multi-Instrumentalist, Composer, Singer, Songwriter, Tattooer, illustrator and Industrial Engineer, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Self Taught musician,played mainly drums and bass in several bands since the early 90's, and later on picked the guitars and mics to start composing his first songs.

With an eclectic spirit and a constant drive for exploration, Ed's learning of sounds, rhythms, tones, styles, musical instruments, diverse techniques, all of course combined with good vibes, and thirst to learn, are the basis of his creativity process, and this is depicted in his music as well as in his other art expressions.

Always on the go, moving from city to city and country to country for work, by the time, Ed have written enough songs to make his first album, and being a multi instrumentalist of course helped, Ed decided to start his solo musical project 'Ed Totem' in 2015.   

Eventually this first album (Sundriven) including eight songs, took a little more than a while and got released only eight years later in August 2023. 

Since that moment music has been coming out non stop, with a five song EP (Luminescent) on November and a Single (Scars) with two new Song Versions on December 2023, and later on in February 2024, another Single (Ride 7) as an early preview of the 'New Album' coming on first quarter 2024.   

As for now, creativity and music will keep on flowing for sure, so you are very welcome to join Ed's ride... Enjoy!!!
