If you want immersive, studio-grade audio with active noise cancellation and a 45-hour battery for deep focus or travel on your MacBook, choose Edifier V80; if you need an open-ear design that keeps you aware of your surroundings while working out or commuting in urban environments, choose Linklike Air Open Ear.
• Edifier V80: Delivers Hi-Res certified sound with hybrid active noise cancellation and massive 45-hour battery life, but the over-ear design can feel warm during intense physical activity.
• Linklike Air Open Ear: Offers a zero-gravity clip-on fit with Bluetooth 6.0 stability and AI-enhanced call clarity, yet lacks any noise cancellation and offers shorter single-charge sessions.
• The Verdict: The Edifier V80 is the definitive choice for a dedicated bluetooth headset for macbook users who prioritize immersion and silence, while the Linklike Air serves those who demand situational awareness and lightweight comfort.
The Edifier V80 is engineered for the user who treats listening as an event rather than just background noise. With its 40mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers, this device pushes the boundaries of what true wireless headphones can achieve, supporting Hi-Res Audio certification. This isn't just about volume; it is about fidelity. Whether you are mixing tracks, diving into a complex podcast, or watching high-definition content on your laptop, the frequency response spanning from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz ensures that every detail remains crisp and distinct. The inclusion of a 32-ohm impedance rating suggests a robust power handling capability that pairs exceptionally well with the processing power of modern devices like a MacBook, ensuring you get the full dynamic range without distortion.
For the professional or student spending long hours at a desk, the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature is not a luxury; it is a necessity. The hybrid system actively filters out the hum of office air conditioning, the chatter of a co-working space, or the low-frequency drone of an airplane cabin. This creates a private acoustic zone where concentration can thrive. The physical design supports this focus with soft protein leather ear cushions and a foldable build that weighs 0.49 kg. While half a kilogram might seem light on paper, the engineering behind the clamping force and cushion density matters more. These headphones are built to stay put during a four-hour work session without causing fatigue, making them ideal for marathon study blocks or extended video conferences.

However, this product is not for everyone. If your primary use case involves running, cycling, or high-intensity interval training, the over-ear form factor is likely too bulky and prone to trapping heat. The Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity offers seamless multipoint connection, allowing you to switch effortlessly between your phone and laptop, but the sheer enclosure size makes it impractical for activities where head movement is rapid. You should skip this model if you prefer to hear traffic, sirens, or colleagues talking to you while wearing headphones. It is a premium tool for immersion, designed specifically for the home office, the commute on public transit, or quiet travel, rather than the gym floor.
The Linklike Air Open Ear redefines how we think about personal audio by rejecting the traditional "in-ear" or "over-ear" constraints entirely. Its patented Z-Structure technology utilizes a mirrored ergonomic design that aligns perfectly with the unique contours of your left and right ears. By increasing surface contact area through a silicone teardrop design, the device achieves a secure lock that does not rely on brute-force pinching. At a mere 5 grams per unit, these earbuds offer a sensation of weightlessness that is genuinely liberating. This is the ultimate solution for someone who needs their music but refuses to disconnect from reality. The open-ear design inherently prevents the isolation that leads to dangerous situations when walking near traffic or navigating busy city streets.
Audio quality here takes a different approach, focusing on clarity and balance rather than bass-heavy isolation. The 10.8mm BPU Carbon Fiber driver paired with dual-magnet power delivers a warm, mellow sound profile that avoids the harsh high-frequency peaks often found in cheaper open-ear models. This makes them perfect for long-duration listening, such as an eight-hour study session or a full workday where the goal is to have a steady stream of information without ear fatigue. Furthermore, the integration of Bluetooth 6.0 provides a level of stability and low latency that feels future-proof. For anyone using a MacBook Pro or similar high-performance machine, the instant pairing and seamless dual-device linking ensure that you never miss a beat when transitioning from a Zoom call to a streaming service.
The standout feature for the active user is the AI-powered voice extraction chip combined with directional sound technology. In a noisy coffee shop or a windy outdoor setting, the anti-wind mic and VPU microphone work together to isolate your voice, ensuring your listeners hear you clearly regardless of the ambient chaos. The IPX5 waterproof rating adds another layer of utility, protecting against heavy rain or intense sweat, which is crucial for runners or gym-goers who refuse to compromise on safety. However, you must accept the trade-off: there is no noise cancellation. The design philosophy explicitly prioritizes situational awareness over privacy, meaning you will hear the world around you. This makes it an excellent choice for safety-conscious commuters, runners, and anyone who finds closed-back headphones claustrophobic or unsafe.
• Best for Battery Life → Edifier V80 (45 hours average life vs. 42 hours total with case).

• Best for Safety and Awareness → Linklike Air Open Ear (Open Ear design allows environmental sound).
• Best for High-Fidelity Audio → Edifier V80 (Hi-Res certification with Titanium diaphragm).
• Best for Stability During Running → Linklike Air Open Ear (Zero-gravity Z-Structure vs. Over-Ear bulk).

After weighing the specifications and real-world applications, I would buy the Edifier V80 for my own daily workflow, particularly when using a MacBook. The combination of Hi-Res Audio certification, hybrid active noise cancellation, and a 45-hour battery life creates a productivity ecosystem that simply cannot be matched by open-ear alternatives. When I need to enter a state of deep flow or block out the distractions of a shared living space, the ability to physically seal out noise is non-negotiable. While the Linklike Air is an impressive piece of engineering for specific scenarios like running or quick errands, the Edifier V80 offers a more complete and versatile audio experience for the modern professional. For a dedicated bluetooth headset for macbook users who value sound quality and focus above all else, the V80 is the superior investment.
Both models support USB-C charging, but the Edifier V80 is better suited for the Mac ecosystem due to its Bluetooth 5.4 multipoint connection, which handles switching between Apple devices seamlessly. The Linklike Air uses Bluetooth 6.0, which is newer but primarily focuses on stability for open-ear wear rather than multi-device optimization for laptops.
Yes, for pure audio isolation, the Edifier V80 with its hybrid active noise cancellation significantly outperforms the Linklike Air, which has no noise cancellation capabilities. If your priority is blocking out external sound to hear details in your music or calls, the closed-back design of the V80 is the only logical choice.
The Linklike Air Open Ear is more durable for active use due to its IPX5 water resistance and lightweight, secure Z-Structure fit that won't fall off during exercise. The Edifier V80 is durable for general use and travel, but its over-ear design and protein leather cushions are less suitable for heavy sweating or high-movement activities.
