If you want a high-fidelity, stationary studio setup for precise audio monitoring in a quiet room, choose Edifier MR3; if you need a rugged, wireless in-ear system for live performance or mobile professional use with active noise isolation, choose Befuoiu UHF.
These two products occupy entirely different worlds of audio engineering. One is a premium bookshelf speaker designed to sit on a desk and reveal every nuance of a mix, while the other is a specialized wireless bodypack system built to keep a musician connected to their sound source without tangling wires. Choosing between them isn't about which one is "better" in a vacuum; it is strictly about whether your workflow requires a fixed listening station or a portable stage solution. Neither device is a universal tool, and trying to force either into a role it wasn't engineered for will result in frustration.
• Edifier MR3: Its biggest strength is Hi-Res Audio certification delivering a flat response from 52Hz to 40kHz for accurate production work, but its biggest trade-off is that it requires a constant power outlet and cannot be used wirelessly or outdoors.
• Befuoiu UHF: Its biggest strength is a UHF wireless circuit with 16 adjustable channels and passive noise cancellation for stable, interference-free live performance, but its biggest trade-off is the limited 5-hour battery life and its design as an in-ear monitor rather than a general-purpose speaker.
• Who is the MR3 for?: Audio engineers, producers, and home studio owners who prioritize frequency accuracy and need a wired, high-quality reference point for mixing.
• Who is the Befuoiu UHF for?: Singers, band members, DJs, and performers who need to hear themselves clearly on stage or in a rehearsal space without being tethered by cables.
The Edifier MR3 is built for the person who demands precision. It is not designed for casual background music; it is a tool for critical listening. The defining feature here is the Hi-Res Audio certification, which guarantees a flat frequency response across an impressive range from 52Hz to 40kHz. In practical terms, this means when you are mixing a track, editing video, or playing guitar, what you hear is exactly what is there. There is no artificial bass boost or treble roll-off hiding behind the speakers. This flat response is crucial for anyone making decisions about their audio content who needs to trust their ears implicitly.
The construction reinforces this professional intent. The cabinet is made of MDF (medium-density fiberboard), a material chosen specifically to reduce internal resonance and distortion. You get 18W RMS of output per speaker, totaling 36 watts, driven by 3.5-inch mid-low drivers and 1-inch tweeters. This combination delivers a rich, full-range sound capable of reaching a peak SPL of 92.5dB. While loud enough for a home office or small studio, the primary goal here is clarity and detail, not sheer volume for a party. The unit also includes a headphone output, allowing you to switch seamlessly between main monitors and private listening without needing external adapters.
Connectivity is robust, catering to complex setups. You have balanced TRS inputs, RCA inputs, and standard AUX inputs, all supporting simultaneous connections. Bluetooth 5.4 with multi-point connection capability ensures your phone or laptop can link up without dropping signal. The EDIFIER ConneX app allows for deep customization, letting you tweak the EQ and switch between Music, Monitor, and Custom modes. However, the design is purely desktop-oriented. It is corded electric, meaning it must stay plugged in. It is not waterproof, so it has no place in a bathroom or near a pool. If you are looking for the best comfortable bluetooth headphones for swimming or any water-based activity, this product is fundamentally the wrong choice because it is a static speaker system.

This unit fits the user who spends hours at a desk refining sound. It is ideal for video editors who need to match audio levels perfectly, musicians recording at home, or audiophiles who want to hear the subtle details in their favorite albums. If you need the best sports earbuds for swimming, this will never work for you, as it lacks the portability and water resistance required for aquatic environments. It is a piece of furniture for your ears, meant to stay put and deliver consistent, high-fidelity results day after day.
The Befuoiu UHF system serves a completely different purpose: mobility and isolation. This is a wireless in-ear monitor (IEM) system designed for professionals who move. The core technology relies on a UHF circuit, which is known for its ability to resist interference from other wireless devices like Wi-Fi routers or mic systems. In a crowded venue or a busy rehearsal space where dozens of signals might clash, the Befuoiu UHF offers 16 adjustable channels. This gives you the flexibility to manually tune the frequency to avoid signal drops or interference, ensuring your performance proceeds without obstacles.
Comfort and isolation are central to its design. The package includes a set of pro earphones with six different sizes of ear buds (S/M/L). These are designed to stay secure during movement and provide up to 33dB of passive noise cancellation. This level of isolation is vital for singers and drummers who need to block out the roar of the crowd or the feedback of amplifiers to hear their own vocals or instruments clearly. The audio driver type is a Balanced Armature Driver, paired with a frequency range of 20Hz to 20,000Hz, which is the standard for human hearing and ensures high-fidelity reproduction for live applications.
Portability is achieved through a rechargeable transmitter and bodypack receiver. The built-in 1000mAh battery charges in two hours and provides five hours of continuous use. While five hours is sufficient for most gigs or practice sessions, it is a hard limit compared to a wall-plugged speaker. The system is lightweight and comes with an XLR to 6.35mm adapter, making it easy to integrate into existing PA systems or studio rigs. It connects automatically when turned on, simplifying the setup process for live events.
However, this system is not a general-purpose speaker. It is strictly an in-ear monitor. You wear it, and it stays in your ear. It is not designed to play music for a room full of people. If you are looking for the best noise cancelling sleep headphones for swimming, this is not the intended use case either, despite the noise cancellation feature; the form factor is for performance monitoring, not sleeping or aquatic recreation. This product is for the performer who needs freedom of movement and reliable audio transmission in a dynamic environment. It is the perfect companion for a DJ moving around a booth, a singer stepping off the stage, or a band member navigating a chaotic live show.

The choice ultimately comes down to your physical location and your task. If you are sitting at a desk, you want the Edifier. If you are standing on a stage, you want the Befuoiu. They solve different problems. Trying to use the Befuoiu UHF as a speaker for your home studio would leave you with nothing but personal isolation and no room-filling sound. Conversely, trying to use the Edifier MR3 for a live gig would require a tangled mess of cables and leave you tethered to a wall socket.
In my opinion, I would buy the Edifier MR3 if my goal was to build a serious home production environment, and I would buy the Befuoiu UHF if I were preparing for a live performance tour. However, if forced to choose based on general utility and audio quality, the Edifier MR3 offers a more versatile experience for daily listening and creative work. For those specifically seeking the best sports earbuds for swimming, you will need to look elsewhere, as these specs do not support aquatic use. But for anyone needing the best comfortable bluetooth headphones for swimming in a literal sense, again, these are not the tools for that job. If I had to pick one for a standard user who values audio fidelity above all else, the Edifier MR3 wins on sheer technical specification and versatility in a controlled environment.
No, neither the Edifier MR3 nor the Befuoiu UHF is designed for swimming. The MR3 is a non-waterproof speaker, and the Befuoiu is a wireless in-ear monitor not rated for submersion.
The Edifier MR3 requires a constant power outlet and has no battery, while the Befuoiu UHF features a 1000mAh battery that provides approximately five hours of wireless use before recharging.
The Befuoiu UHF offers 33dB of passive noise cancellation designed to isolate the listener from stage noise, whereas the Edifier MR3 is a speaker system designed to project sound into a room without active isolation.
Yes, the Edifier MR3 supports multi-point Bluetooth connection and allows simultaneous connections via RCA, AUX, and balanced TRS inputs.
