開發者 edgelessblade 不接收你的字幕、觀看紀錄或外掛設定。本擴充功能仍會在本機處理目前 YouTube 影片的資訊，並可能向 YouTube 請求字幕，以下說明其範圍。
為了改善 YouTube CC 的閱讀體驗，擴充功能會在目前頁面讀取字幕文字、字幕時間軸、目前影片網址中的影片識別碼、字幕軌及語言資訊、播放時間、CC 開關與播放器狀態。字幕網址可能包含 YouTube 提供的簽章或工作階段參數；這些資訊僅用來取得目前影片的字幕，不傳送給開發者。
外掛另保存你的外觀偏好：啟用狀態、主題、字幕位置、字體、大小、寬度、底部距離、整句顯示及保留上一句。它不要求你註冊外掛帳號，不直接讀取姓名、電子郵件、電話、地址、密碼、Cookie 值或付款資料，也不存取瀏覽器的完整瀏覽紀錄。
上述影片資料僅用來同步字幕、整理相鄰字幕分段、呈現閱讀區與重播當句。字幕與影片識別碼暫存於頁面記憶體；有限的字幕快取可能在 YouTube 同頁導覽期間保留，重新載入或關閉頁面後清除。字幕不寫入持久儲存空間。
外觀設定透過 chrome.storage.local 保存在目前瀏覽器的外掛儲存空間，不使用 chrome.storage.sync，不由本擴充功能同步至雲端。開發者沒有接收這些資料的伺服器。
本擴充功能觀察 YouTube 自己載入的字幕回應。必要時，會透過 HTTPS 向 www.youtube.com/api/timedtext 請求目前影片所選的字幕軌。此請求可能包含影片識別碼、字幕語言和 YouTube 原有的簽章參數；你的 IP 位址會如一般網路連線一樣由 YouTube 接收。瀏覽器也可能依既有 YouTube 工作階段自動附帶同源 Cookie；擴充功能不直接讀取 Cookie 值。
YouTube／Google 依其自己的隱私權政策處理收到的請求。本擴充功能不將上述資料傳送至開發者、廣告商、分析平台或外部 AI 服務。
本擴充功能不出售使用者資料，不用於廣告、個人剖析、信用評估或借貸判斷，也不提供開發者人工檢視字幕的功能。資料使用遵守 Chrome Web Store User Data Policy，包括 Limited Use 要求，僅限於本政策所述的字幕閱讀功能。只有提供字幕功能所需的請求會送至 YouTube。
可在面板中修改設定或按「重設」恢復預設值。關閉「啟用易讀字幕」會恢復原始字幕顯示，但頁面中的字幕橋接程式仍可能執行。若要完全停止外掛處理，請在 Chrome 擴充功能管理頁停用外掛並重新載入已開啟的 YouTube 頁面。移除外掛會移除其本機儲存設定；關閉或重新載入影片頁面會清除頁面中的字幕快取。

Caption processing happens in your browser. The developer, edgelessblade, does not receive your captions, viewing records, or extension settings.
To improve existing YouTube CC, the extension locally reads caption text and timing, the current video's identifier from the page URL, caption-track and language information, playback time, CC state, and player state. Caption URLs may include signatures or session parameters supplied by YouTube. These are used only to retrieve the current video's captions and are not sent to the developer.
The extension saves appearance preferences: enabled state, theme, placement, font, size, width, vertical offset, sentence grouping, and previous-caption visibility. It requires no extension account. It does not directly read your name, email, phone number, address, password, cookie values, payment details, or complete browser history.
Video-related data is used only to synchronize, group and display captions, and replay a cue. Captions and video identifiers are held in page memory. A limited caption cache may remain during YouTube's same-page navigation and is cleared when the page is reloaded or closed. Captions are not written to persistent storage.
Preferences are stored in chrome.storage.local in the current browser. The extension does not use chrome.storage.sync or upload preferences to a cloud service. The developer operates no server that receives this data.
The extension observes caption responses already loaded by YouTube. When needed, it requests the selected caption track for the current video from www.youtube.com/api/timedtext over HTTPS. Requests may include the video identifier, language and YouTube-supplied signatures. YouTube receives your IP address as part of the network connection. The browser may automatically attach existing same-origin session cookies; the extension does not directly read their values.
YouTube/Google handles these requests under its own privacy policy. No such data is sent to the developer, advertisers, analytics providers, or external AI services.
The extension does not sell user data or use it for advertising, profiling, credit assessment, or lending decisions. It provides no developer access for human review of captions. Its use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements, and is limited to the caption-reading features described here. Only requests necessary to provide captions are sent to YouTube.
You can change or reset appearance preferences in the settings panel. Turning off enhanced captions restores the original caption display, but the page's caption bridge may continue running. To stop extension processing completely, disable it in Chrome's extension manager and reload open YouTube pages. Uninstalling the extension removes its local preferences. Closing or reloading a video page clears that page's caption cache.

Do not include passwords or unnecessary personal information. This policy describes the extension itself; the store, support services and the hosting provider for this policy page may handle connection data under their own policies.
This policy will be updated with a new effective date if data practices change. Caption Studio is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
