I don't usually use Chrome but had to check something, so I visited the search engines page. Then I saw this section which lets you choose the button for directly searching from address bar and this is a feature I really need. Why is it not in Edge? I want an option to set is just "Tab" button because space button creates problem when I want to search something else, but it enters searching mode.

I found several other flags regarding the "Omnibox" but none of them made a difference. Ugh. I would like for there to be a separate search box like Firefox has/had (haven't used it in several years). Or just go back to the olden days when you had to specifically go to a search engine to do a search.

Changing this experience abruptly is going to reduce user productivity and create resistance to change.
