INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
We do not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, phone number, physical address, email address, or contact list.
All custom lighting presets, studio editor configurations, notch adjustments, and saved .edgelight files are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
DEVICE PERMISSIONS AND HOW THEY ARE USED
To provide seamless edge lighting animation overlay, live wallpapers, and flash alerts, Edge Lighting requires specific permissions on your Android device:
* SET_WALLPAPER:
This permission allows the app to apply custom edge lighting themes as a live wallpaper on your device's home screen and lock screen.
* SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (Display Over Other Apps):
This permission is required to draw glowing edge lighting borders over other active applications on your device.
* FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE:
These permissions enable a lightweight background service to keep edge lighting effects active and responsive when notifications, calls, or charging events occur, without being killed by the Android system.
* POST_NOTIFICATIONS:
This permission is used to display app service notifications and trigger edge lighting flash alerts when new notifications arrive from user-selected applications.
* READ_PHONE_STATE:
This permission is strictly used to detect incoming phone calls so that the application can trigger edge lighting borders during an incoming call. We do not read, store, or record call logs or personal phone data.
* RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED:
This permission allows the app to restart its edge lighting service automatically after your phone finishes booting or restarting.
* WAKE_LOCK:
This permission ensures the device screen temporarily stays awake to display the edge lighting animation during incoming call or notification flash events.
* VIBRATE:
This permission allows the app to provide subtle haptic feedback during interactive controls in the Studio Editor.
* INTERNET:
This permission is required to download online gallery assets (such as new shapes, gradients, and photo wallpapers) and serve third-party advertisements or analytics (if applicable).
* ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE:
This permission checks if the device is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data to optimize network requests when fetching online gallery templates.
