We believe that happy, loved, and cared for children are destined for success in every facet of their lives.
Our most important principle is to, “Hug First, Then Teach,” this defines every aspect of who we are at Edgar Child Care Center, Wildcat and our School Age Programs. Unlike many daycare centers or childcare providers, our approach is the whole child approach. We are continuously working to strengthen and encourage every emotional, social, creative, intellectual, and physical being through the quality care of our child care providers and a partnership with the parents.
When it comes to our programs we are an extension of home; when guiding the children we understand the importance of involving the families with their children’s developmental milestones and accomplishments – all the way from infant care to preschool care throughout the school age programs. When new skills are introduced or reinforced, having you as the parents, your child, and the teachers work together makes learning not only easy but fun. Using this approach to learning and keeping a close connection between home and school is important and appreciated. We have an open door policy and welcome and encourage family involvement and opportunities.
Our teachers know that children are naturally curious, so why not encourage and foster their curiosity in a fun and educational environment? We go beyond the traditional day care services, we believe in a sense of family within a community. Our teachers are trained to guide each child by using individual learning techniques and by creating the foundation needed to develop their individual skills.
