What is EdCamp Rome?
A Edcamp is a day of free, low-stakes, and personalized professional learning by educators, for educators
- Edcamps are organized and facilitated by local educators and is entirely supported by volunteers and sponsors.
- Sessions determined at the time of the event. Arrive with an idea for a session that you would like to lead and be ready to learn. A session might explore a technology tool, a discussion about best practices or a collaborative presentation with multiple facilitators.
- Edcamp is an "un-conference." The rule of the un-conference is to “vote with your feet”. If a session doesn’t meet your needs, simply get up and move on to another room.
What are the goals of Edcamp?
Be Connected: Connect with educators in Rome City Schools, Floyd County Schools, and beyond!
Be Inspired: Learn new curriculum ideas, best practices and tech integration from other educators.
Get Personalized: Customize your own PD by suggesting, facilitating, and attending sessions on topics that interest you!
What do I need to bring?
Bring a friend and your favorite device: laptop, tablet, and/or smartphone with the appropriate power cables.
