LOCATION AND PARKING

Location

Edcamp Honolulu 2022 will be at 'Iolani School in Honolulu, HI. The event will take place in the Kaneshiro Science and Innovation Center and the Kosasa Studios in the lower school side of campus (see map below).

Parking

Parking for this event will be located along the fence on Laau St. at the back of the school. Laau St. runs alongside the Ala Wai Canal.

IMPORTANT: The Iolani School parking structure on Kamoku St. is off limits for this event. (It's a further walk anyways!)

  1. Drive down Date Street.

  2. Turn right at the stop light onto Laau St.

  3. Park anywhere along the fence line (yellow on the map).

  4. After parking, enter the campus through the open gate that is in between both parking sections.

  5. Follow the Edcamp signs and volunteers to the 2nd floor of the Kaneshiro Center building.

CHECK-IN, SCHEDULE, AND FOOD!

Check-In

Check-in begins at 8:00 am! Pastries, fruit, and coffee will be available! You do not need to print anything or bring any type of confirmation. Just remember your name! Check-in will be located on the 2nd floor of the Kaneshiro Center building. (An elevator is available for those that need it but it requires a key, please inform a volunteer upon your arrive if you need to use the elevator.)

8:00 - 8:25 Check-In & Breakfast (provided by Jack Endo Electric Inc.)

8:25 - 9:15 Kickoff, Introductions & Schedule

9:30 - 10:10 Session 1

10:15 - 10:55 Session 2

11:00 - 11:30 Lunch (provided by Samsung), dessert (provided by Unruly Splats), & Networking

11:40 - 12:20 Session 3

12:30 - 1:00 Prizes & Closing

(Snack and candy bar throughout the day, provided by Excalibur Print Systems & Supplies)


Lunch will be a bento consisting of furikake fried fish, shoyu chicken, spam, rice, and corn. We are unable to provide a vegetarian option for this event.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Everyone's health and safety is important to us! Please make decisions and take action to support your personal health.


Masks and vaccinations are not required for this event. You may wear a mask if you prefer.


To help prevent the spread of germs during the event:

  • Hand sanitizer is available in each room.

  • Sinks with soap and paper towels will be available to wash your hands throughout the day.

  • Disinfectant wipes will be available in all rooms for you to use to wipe down your table and/or chair.

If you are not feeling well or are exhibiting any symptoms, please stay home and take care of yourself!

WHAT TO BRING

Please consider bringing the following items with you to the event:

  • A reusable water bottle (refill station is available!)

  • A jacket (in case the rooms are too cold)

  • A mobile device (for taking notes and sharing on social media)

  • Great ideas and questions to help fill our session board in the morning!
