I am Eda Kırımlı, currently a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham, working with Christophe Petit in the EPSRC project Post-Quantum Cryptography: a Cryptanalysis Approach. My research is in algebraic number theory, arithmetic geometry, and isogeny-based cryptography, with a focus on isogeny graphs of abelian surfaces, isogeny computation, and invariants of low-genus curves.
Previously, I have been a joint Ph.D. student at Université de Neuchâtel and University of Bristol in Switzerland and the UK under the supervision of Elisa Lorenzo García and Chloe Martindale. Before that, I was a master's student at Boğaziçi University supervised by Ekin Özman.
Research Interests: Algebraic number theory; algebraic geometry; arithmetic geometry; post-quantum cryptography; isogeny-based cryptography; isogeny graphs of abelian surfaces, isogeny computation, invariants of low genus curves, reduction types of curves of genus 3, Picard curves
Ph.D Thesis: Isogeny-based cryptography of abelian surfaces
Master's Thesis: Inverse Galois Problem
