ECTITE supports teachers in building the skills to foster trauma-informed environments where students thrive—and strengthening their resilience to keep showing up.
Developed by a transdisciplinary team of researchers and teaching practitioners, the ECTITE model (i.e., Equity-Centered, Trauma-Informed Teacher Education) was designed to assist teachers and teacher candidates in developing the capacity to: (1) create trauma-informed classrooms; and (2) build and maintain individual resilience to sustain them in the work.
