Vision
The demand for System Semiconductor is accelerating rapidly due to the higher growth in worldwide consumer electronics and the home automation market with smart technologies. Although our country, Korea, has gained a reputation as the world's biggest memory chip provider with a market share of over 60 percent, it has been weak in the system semiconductor (non-memory) market with a mere 3 percent share. Therefore, not only the industry but also government are now focusing on the system semiconductor field stronger than ever to dominate this market.
The integrated circuit design is a very practical and industry-friendly research area which is the key of the system semiconductor industry. We will investigate lots of interesting challenges and strive for excellence and innovation in the research. Through ECS lab, you will be trained to be a technical expert and can lead the future of the system semiconductor industry.
