My iBoss

My iBoss: Our gateway to accessing restricted content.

There is no telling what students see when they explore the internet at home. We here at the Escambia County School District, however, like to have a tighter grip on what our students have access too, and that comes in the form of iBoss. IBoss is our digital gateway to content, one that can block students from seeing inappropriate material online, and that we as teachers can have access too, should we need to.

Not to be used lightly

Please note that the ability to bypass iBoss is only to be used for accessing academically relevant material. This will not allow you to use your school computer to reach adult material or social media apps, both of which should never be accessed at school on a school computer using a school server. People have lost their jobs over that and, come on, that's just not smart.

Signing into iBoss allows you to pull up, for example, those restricted science videos that the system may have mistakenly deemed inappropriate, or access an informative website that may seem politically controversial, but is necessary for your social studies class. Remember: never share passwords with students. iBoss must remain open in a browser tab to function.

To access the iboss app, simply go to the Escambia County School District Website, scroll down to resources, and click "iBoss." It should ask you to sign in. After that, you should be able to access restricted content over your school's internet server.
