This Privacy Policy explains how EcoSweep ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application ("the App"). We have written it to be as clear and simple as possible. By using EcoSweep, you agree to the practices described below.
The short version: EcoSweep works on your device, not on our servers. Your files, your app list, and your cleaning history never leave your phone. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, which shows advertisements in the App.
1. WHAT THE APP ACCESSES ON YOUR DEVICE
To do its job, EcoSweep reads the following information. All of it is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server.
- Files and storage data: File names, sizes, types, and locations. This is how the App finds junk files (such as cache, residual files, empty folders, old APK installers, thumbnails, and log files), shows you a breakdown of your storage, and detects duplicate files.
- Installed app information: App names, package names, app sizes, cache sizes, and install dates. This powers the App Manager, which helps you see which apps take up the most space and uninstall the ones you no longer use.
- Notification information: Which apps post notifications and how many. This powers the Notification Manager.
- Cleaning history: A record of what you cleaned and how much space was freed. This is stored only on your device so you can review it in the History screen.
EcoSweep does not read the contents of your files, photos, messages, or documents. It does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or accounts.
2. WHAT WE COLLECT
We (the developer) collect nothing. EcoSweep has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics of our own. We never see your files, your app list, or anything else on your device.
3. ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB)
EcoSweep shows advertisements using Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. AdMob may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Advertising ID
- Device information (such as model and operating system version)
- IP address
- General location (country or region level)
- Ad interaction data (such as which ads were viewed or tapped)
This collection is performed by Google under Google's own privacy policy, available at:

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your device settings:
Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization (wording may vary by device).
4. PERMISSIONS THE APP REQUESTS AND WHY
- Storage access / All files access: Required to scan your storage, show you what is there, and delete only the files you choose to remove.
- Query installed apps: Required to list your installed apps in the App Manager.
- Notifications (optional): Used to send you occasional cleaning reminders. The App works fully without it.
- Internet and network state: Used only to load advertisements.
- Vibration: Used for haptic feedback when you interact with the App.
You can revoke any permission at any time in your device's Settings. Doing so may limit the related feature but will not affect the rest of the App.
EcoSweep never deletes anything without showing it to you first. Every cleaning action requires your review and confirmation.
5. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with anyone. The only data that leaves your device is the advertising data collected directly by Google AdMob, as described in Section 3.
We may disclose information only if required by law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request - although in practice we hold no user data to disclose.
6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Because everything is processed locally, we retain nothing on our side. Your cleaning history and preferences stay on your device until you:
- clear them from within the App,
- clear the App's data in your device settings, or
- uninstall the App.
Any of these actions permanently removes all data the App has stored.
7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
EcoSweep is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
8. SECURITY
All file operations and analysis happen locally on your device, which means your data is protected by your device's own security. We take reasonable measures in how the App is built, but no method of electronic processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data.
Because EcoSweep stores data only on your own device, you can exercise these rights directly yourself at any time: adjust the App's permissions, clear its data, or uninstall it. For advertising data collected by Google, use the opt-out described in Section 3 or contact Google under its privacy policy.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when the App gains or loses features. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. Meaningful changes will also be mentioned in the App's release notes. Your continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
