Tamil Nadu Agricultural University adjudged the top-most Agricultural University in India came to being on June 1, 1971. It had its genesis from establishment of an Agricultural School at Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India as early as 1868 which was later relocated at Coimbatore during 1906. The University is offering 13 UG Degree Programs, 40 PG Programs and 26 Doctoral Programs in 14 Colleges distributed in 11 campuses all over Tamil Nadu.
ECOFEST
Ecofest is a National Level Symposium organized by the students of B. Tech. (Energy and Environmental Engineering) from the year 2006. It attracts participants from various disciplines across the nation providing a stage to enrich their knowledge, skills and innovative ideas along with the brain storming spectra of their talents towards addressing the current energy and environment issues. This hand to hand event provides a platform to exhibit and establish the organization skills of the Green Engineers.

TNAU - The icon of Coimbatore stands up with esteemed pride with the Agricultural Engineering College & Research Institute which was established in the year 1971. They chisel the students of B. Tech. (Energy and Environmental Engineering) into potential engineers by enriching them in Green Engineering, Energy Auditing and Waste Management. We, the students are taught to battle the crisis of environment and to give the world a hope of sustainability.
