Missionary Work
Ward Mission Plan
Mission Statement:
To bring souls to Christ, directed by the Spirit and using the framework of the Stake Mission Vision.
We believe that individually and collectively we can achieve the following goals this year:
Make time for the Lord and seek Him through daily prayer and scripture study and better strive to hear Him through the promptings of the Spirit.
Improve in our individual ability to hear and understand the promptings of the Spirit and then act on those promptings.
Pray regularly for missionary and faith building opportunities individually and collectively.
Utilize social media in our efforts to share the gospel.
Use the Covenant Path when discussing the progress of investigators and new members. Focus teaching and ministering efforts on helping individuals and families on their next step on the Covenant Path.
Get involved in the community by utilizing the service projects and activities sponsored through JustServe.org.
Baptize and/or reactivate one individual or family each month of the year. We as a ward have the goal of baptizing 10 people during the 2023 year.
Collaborate with the full-time missionaries by being present in lessons and ministering opportunities for less active members and investigators.
Utilize individual quorum and classes to share ideas to love, share, and invite in normal and natural ways.
Hold a Ward 40-day fast for missionary work.
When possible, members will invite full time missionaries into their homes.
Invite friends and those to whom we minister to ward activities.
Ideas for Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Attend lessons with full-time missionaries
Our full-time missionaries are always happy to have members go out with them to their lessons. No matter how long you have been a member of the church, how familiar you are with specific gospel principles, are how comfortable you are teaching, just having your presence at a lesson can make all the difference. Call the full-time missionaries to schedule a time.
Share the Gospel in Normal and Natural ways
Whether it's in person, through a text, or through a social media post, sharing the gospel can be a totally normal experience. It could be sharing a scripture that touched your heart during the week. You could share your thoughts on a talk you heard during sacrament meeting. You can follow general authorities and church profiles on social media and share their posts.
The church published this website with more ideas on how to share the gospel. You can find it HERE or at share.churchofjesuschrist.org.
