This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Echo Voice: Local Memo ("the App"), developed by Soft Trump Software Solutions. We are committed to protecting user privacy through a Privacy-by-Design approach. Echo Voice is a local-only utility; your recordings and data never leave your device and are never uploaded to any cloud or external server.
Audio Data: The App records audio in high-quality .m4a format. All audio files are stored exclusively in the App’s internal documentDirectory on your device. We do not have access to your recordings.
Metadata: Information such as memo titles, durations, and timestamps is stored locally using AsyncStorage.
Personal Information: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII), such as your name, email, or contact details. No account registration is required to use the App.
To provide its core services, the App requires the following permissions:
Microphone: Used solely to facilitate the recording of voice memos.
Notifications: Used to provide "long-recording" reminders to ensure you are aware when a recording session is active in the background.
Local Persistence: Your data remains under your physical control on your hardware.
Data Retention: Data persists as long as the App is installed on your device.
Data Deletion: When you delete a memo within the App, the metadata and the associated audio file are permanently erased from your device's file system. Uninstalling the App will result in the permanent loss of all stored recordings.
The App is built using the Expo framework and distributed via the Google Play Store. These platforms may collect technical information (such as device model or OS version) as governed by their respective privacy policies. This App does not use third-party analytics or tracking pixels.
The App does not address anyone under the age of 13. Since no data is transmitted to us, we do not knowingly collect or hold any information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
