ECHO ("the Game", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile trap-platformer developed for Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you play ECHO, how we use it, who we share it with, and the controls you have over your data.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of all players, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region) beyond what is strictly necessary to operate the Game and comply with applicable law.
By downloading or playing ECHO you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Game.
ECHO does not require account registration and does not ask you to provide your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information. The only player-provided input is your in-game character selection (kitten or puppy), which is stored locally on your device.
When you play ECHO, we and our third-party service providers automatically collect certain technical and gameplay data:
Device information: device model, operating system version, and platform (Android or iOS).
App instance identifier: a randomly generated, non-persistent identifier used by Firebase Analytics to distinguish sessions. It is not linked to your identity.
Gameplay events: anonymised in-game events such as which stage you started, whether you cleared a stage, how many times you died, and which character you selected.
Crash data: diagnostic information captured at the time of an app crash, including a stack trace, device model, OS version, and the last stage you were playing.
Advertising identifier (Advertising ID / IDFA): collected only after you have provided consent through the in-app consent prompt.
Push notification token: a device-local token generated by Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and used solely to deliver notifications.
We explicitly do not collect any of the following:
Your real name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
Your precise or approximate GPS location.
Photos, camera access, microphone recordings, or contacts.
Payment information.
Frame-by-frame position data, raw touch input logs, or continuous proximity telemetry.
Any data from children under 13 beyond anonymised technical data.
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
To operate and improve the Game.
To diagnose and fix crashes.
To deliver push notifications you have opted in to receive.
To serve advertising after consent.
To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your personal data are:
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): anonymised crash reporting and aggregated gameplay analytics.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): personalised advertising via AdMob.
Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): retaining records where required by law.
