TA policy
Contacting me:
We will not reply to any questions that are abusing or violating any of the TA policies.
We check our emails frequently and aim to reply to your questions within 24hours.
We prefer discussing things in writing, i.e., long-form email messages. Email messages immortalize the discussion and improve the quality of our asynchronous communication. Also, English is not our native language so we might struggle to find the best way to explain our ideas without thinking something through.
What is expected from us:
Clarify any questions you might have on the lab assignments.
Explain our grading and the rationale behind points given or deducted.
If identical solutions are found between multiple reports, the problem/question points will be evenly split among the identical submissions.
We will not discuss the solutions of lab assignments, nor are we a proponent of the Socratic method.
We would appreciate it if you could avoid making arbitrary assumptions and speculations. Hypothesizing in the presence of clear evidence is one of our greatest derailers.
We do not have all the answers to any questions you might have, in such cases we will have to direct you to prof. Konstantinou.
What is expected from you:
Have concrete and well-thought-out questions.
Provide explicit justification for your answers and questions.
Respect our time and hold yourself with the utmost professionalism, as is expected from graduate students.
Schedule/Office hours:
We prefer receiving questions via email. In cases where emails are not sufficient, you can visit us during the office hours.
Tuesday 1-3pm (B5-L2, sea side).
How do we like to give feedback?
We try to be respectful of other people’s work.
Will aim to find the most suitable way to provide feedback emphasizing the good points, but also indicating the ones that could be improved further.
How do I like to receive feedback?
Frankly and respectfully.
We prefer to-the-point comments and suggestions rather than vague feedback that could not help me improve.
