Companion App: ECD Control
The companion app for the ECD is available at the Google Play Store.
It is available for android devices only, with no current plans to make an IOS version.
Device Identification
If you have purchased an ECD second hand or are just uncertain which version of the device you have, there are a couple of methods to find out.
There are some minor hardware differences between versions.
Method 1:
If you have the companion app installed (android only) you can connect to the ECD as outlined in the user manual.
Once connected, go to the 'About' section in the app.
If the listed Firmware Version is 4.5 or below your device is a V0.4.6
If the listed Firmware Version is 5 or above your device is a V0.4.7
Method 2:
If you do not have the app installed you can open up the bottom of the ECD by removing the four retaining screws and find the Hardware version printed on the circuit board.
