Resilience

The Resilience documentary explains how continuous stressful situations can actually change the development of the brain. It gives hope because it shows how real, live people in real, live communities in the United States are addressing the challenges created by Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs). If there are no interventions and no social supports throughout a child's life, it will manifest itself in health issues that carry into adulthood. Examples are obesity, diabetes, depression, suicide attempts, heart disease, cancer, stroke, COPD, smoking, STFs, alcoholism, drug use, and mental illness.

Please join us in creating a community awareness of these issues and the support needed in our community by viewing this film!

"THE BRAIN MAY FORGET, BUT THE BODY REMEMBERS."
