The app displays euro reference exchange-rate data obtained from the European Central Bank (ECB), calculates cross rates, presents historical charts and tables, and lets users create and share CSV files. The app is an independent product and is not an official ECB application.
The app does not require registration and does not send names, email addresses, exchange-rate selections, CSV files or viewing history to a server operated by us.
The app downloads public exchange-rate data from official ECB internet services. A copy may be cached in the app’s private storage to improve performance and provide limited offline access. Language settings, consent state and similar preferences may also be stored locally.
When a user creates a CSV export, the file is temporarily written to the app’s cache. An email address entered in the sharing dialog is passed to the Android sharing interface and the selected email application. We do not receive or retain the address, message or attachment. The privacy practices of the selected email provider apply after the data is handed to that application.
The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner and occasional interstitial advertisements. It also uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and record advertising/privacy choices where required.
According to Google’s SDK disclosure, Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect and share:
IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
app and advertising interactions, such as launches, taps and ad/video views;
diagnostic and performance information;
device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID where available.
Google processes this information for advertising, analytics, service delivery and fraud prevention. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. Advertising requests are made only when the UMP consent status allows them. Users may also reset or delete the Android advertising ID in device settings.

To retrieve rates, the device connects to ECB services. Like other internet services, the ECB may receive technical request information such as the device’s IP address, request time and user-agent information. Such processing is controlled by the ECB and is subject to the ECB’s own privacy information.
Where applicable, advertising-related processing is based on consent obtained through UMP or another basis made available by Google under local law. Core exchange-rate retrieval and local app operation are performed to provide the functionality requested by the user. A consent choice can be changed through any privacy-options entry point made available in the app or by clearing the app’s data.
Locally cached ECB data, preferences and export files remain on the device until replaced, removed by the operating system, cleared by the user, or deleted when the app is uninstalled. We cannot delete data held by Google, the ECB or an email provider; their respective policies and account/device controls apply. Because the app has no user accounts and we operate no user database for it, there is no app account to delete.
The app uses HTTPS connections for ECB and Google services and stores its cache in Android app-private storage. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit direct data handling to what is needed for the features described above.
The app is a general-audience exchange-rate information tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The Play Console target-audience and advertising settings must be configured consistently with the audience selected by the developer.
Google, the ECB and email providers may process data in countries other than the user’s country. Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or withdrawal of consent. Requests concerning data controlled by us may be sent to [PRIVACY EMAIL]. Requests concerning third-party data should be directed to the relevant provider.
We may update this policy when the app, third-party SDKs or legal requirements change. The revised policy will show a new “Last updated” date and will be published at the same public URL.
