Enzo Brox

Hello and welcome!

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Research in Economics of Education at the University of Bern. I am also affiliated with the Swiss Institute for Empirical Economic Research (SEW) of the University of St. Gallen. I received my PhD in Economics from the Graduate School of Decision Sciences of the University of Konstanz.

My primary research interests are in the field of applied microeconomics. My research focuses on the economics of education, labor economics and organizational economics. I am also interested in behavioral and decision science. Most of my work is focused on the identification of how (socio-demographic) characteristics of peers and the institutional environment affect human behavior, performance and sorting into different jobs. In my work, I integrate economic intuition with state-of-the-art econometric methods, including causal machine learning.
