Here is the largest Roman archaeological area in Northern Italy. Here you discover the Middle Ages walking through the streets of the Carmine district with the Indian groceries alongside the university copy shops. Here we travel through the Venetian Renaissance among the buildings and arcades of Piazza Loggia and enter the Age of Enlightenment with the Queriniana Library, established in 1747, which houses over 150,000 volumes.

The pride of this luxuriant city is the Museum of Santa Giulia, which together with the archaeological area of ​​the Capitolium and the monastic complex of San Salvatore, was included in 2011 in the list of World Heritage Sites with "The Lombards in Italy : the Places of Power”.
