OUR CHURCH FAMILY PRAYER CORNER
Congratulations to Ralph S (9), Audrey K (10), Beau B (12), Ziporah S (12), Dorothy F (14) and Bonnie T (15) celebrating birthdays!
We are grateful that Rita H was able to return home to Crown Ridge this week after an extended hospital stay; she and her family would like to thank everyone for their support prayers, visits, and phone calls over the last three weeks as she recovered.
We pray for those who deal with illness, and for those who continue to grieve the loss of loved ones at this time. We give thanks to our God for his hand of comfort and healing.
We also ask you to remember those who cannot attend services and to keep them in prayer: Jo B, Maureen B, Dora D, Aky D, Charles & Stella D, John D, Riek H, Audrey K, Frances L, Jan M, Thea P, Gerdie P, Louise S, Mary S, Joanne T, Nell V, & Riet V.
Food Bank Needs: goldfish crackers, school safe snacks, peanut butter, jam, canned meats like flakes of ham or chicken, dry soups, condensed milk/evaporated milk, stove top stuffing, gravy, baby food, formula, diapers size 4, 5, 6, baby wipes, no-sugar added items, sugar-free sweetener.
Ebenezer Mealbox Volunteer Information Night: An information session is planned for our Mealbox Program this Sunday night, January 11th, at 6 p.m for mealbox volunteers and those interested in the program. The Ebenezer Mealbox Program provides healthy, fresh-made meals to individuals in Trenton who are experiencing food insecurity. Quinte area food bank usage exceeds the provincial average as food costs continue to rise. Mealbox is a tangible way to show God's love as we reach out to those in need right here in Trenton. We will be joined by Craig Olivier, General Manager at the Trenton Care and Share Food Bank, who will share a bit about current trends in our community. We will also explore ideas for next steps as the program moves into its 6th year. Any questions, talk to Gary H, Nelly F or Henny W.
Riverside Music in Trenton is hosting a free hymn sing on Jan 14th from 11:30-12:30 p.m. at Riverside Music, 16 Dundas St. W. in downtown Trenton.
January 11 Offering: Our offering today is Quinte Regional Christian Schools, which is the amalgamation of Trenton Christian School, Sonrise Academy, Belleville Christian School, and Quinte Christian High School. They joined together to create a dynamic, independent group of schools in the Quinte region, who seek to educate and inspire students to engage with the world in the way of Jesus, and to foster wholeness and a vibrant connection to their community. qrcs.ca
