Tech Tools for Interactive Remote Teaching Webinar
MANGAHIGH.com is a game-based learning platform where learners play math games as a fun way to learn and apply knowledge to new concepts. Games cover certain topics of learning and are categorised by skill and level of grade. They are built to adapt to the potential of the student in difficulty, keeping the student in their proximal development region. The educational material of Mangahigh is focused on the Common Core. Toby Rowland and a group of accomplished mathematicians and game specialists formed Mangahigh, which aimed to establish a balance between game playing and learning.
Mangahigh.com offers an interesting complement to conventional math pedagogy through the use of 'games that include strong contexts that also bring out the' real-world 'application of the subject at hand, thereby raising the curiosity of the students in the material and motivating them to further explore' . Teachers may assign "challenges" or engage in Fai-To by the learners. "Challenges" are particular activities that can be allocated to individual learners or classes. "Prodigi" lessons or games may be set up as challenges by instructors. Fai-To is a school-to-school rivalry that enables two schools to compete against one another in mathematical battle.
