And yes, I do recommend using unsalted butter in this recipe and then adding salt. If you want to know more about why I write my recipes this way, you can read all about it (and an easy substitution if you only have salted butter on hand) in this post that I wrote about salted vs unsalted butter.

This recipe made a batch of light and tasty biscuits (6). It is quite easy and fast. This is the first time I have grated the frozen butter and it worked very well. I will grate frozen butter more often now. Thank you for your website. Happy Holidays!

Shrimp cooks quickly. The secret is to take them out before they turn rubbery and then cool them down to stop the cooking process. Your shrimp will be ready in less than 5 minutes! Easy Peasy. You may be wondering what I did with all these boiled shrimp.

Hi, Natasha! This is a little late, since Christmas Eve is now over, but I want to let you know that your recipe for boiled shrimp is super easy and super good, both of which were my criteria while searching Pinterest for a recipe. My family even asked that I save your version and make it again. What a winner!

We love making dips and have shared quite a few of them over the years. Here are a few more recipes: take a look at our roasted red pepper hummus, this black bean dip, our roasted eggplant dip (baba ganoush), or this creamy cheesy bean dip.

I made this today and it was delicious! After sauteeing the vegetables, I put everything else in the crockpot. Really easy and tasty soup! If you can find ham bouillon packets (in the Mexican section of the grocery), use one. It really ramps up the flavor.

Sourdough is known for its characteristic tangy flavor, chewy texture and crisp, crackly crust. From a health standpoint, it dominates when compared to supermarket loaves. The naturally occurring acids and long fermentation help to break down the gluten, making it more digestible and easy for the body to absorb. And it tastes darn good!

Thank you so very much!

My two year old starter was dumped out while I took a cruise. The silver lining my fridge was spotless for a bit. I had hoped to bring a portion of my daughter in laws home with me a couple weeks ago but left it behind. They live 6 hours away. I found a market place post for a 900 year old starter from a farm in my area. I purchased the starter and we are off to a great start baking like crazy. I love making other goodies with the cast off too. This recipes is the one my Daughter in law uses. It is very good!

No flavor is sacrificed, the only sacrifice is you have to have more starter to start with, but that is actually very easy. All you have to do is scale up your starter container. The extra starter you use removes the time it takes to build up the culture in the dough, add to that the warm proofer (or a 108f hot back porch in the Austin, Texas Summer where it is still over 100 at midnight).

Hi there! For this recipe, if you want the classic round shape, use the Dutch oven with lid. The loaf pan recipes, which follow a different shaping method, check out my easy sourdough sandwich bread: -sourdough-sandwich-bread/

Many of the no-knead recipes I read and use call for the Dutch oven to be placed in the hot oven for 30 minutes or so prior to baking, then dropping (oh, so carefully!) the dough into it before covering with the lid and baking. What is it about this sourdough recipe that does not require this method?

Love this recipe so much! It helped me make my first successful sourdough loaf. It tastes amazing and was such an easy consistency to work with. My family loves it. This will definitely be my go to recipe for a while. Thank you!

As someone who lives in a cotinent where the average weather ranges from hot to scorching and who wants to start cooking, I am requesting recipes for foods that will help cope with the hot weather, preferably that I can store in the refrigerator and eat the next day (or take several days to spoil) or just need a few seconds in the microwave.

Looking for an easy sticky sweet rice recipe that uses 1/2 a can of coconut milk instead of the typical 1 full can all the recipes I find calls for. (Yes I know I could cut those recipes in half... but entertain me).

Our goal is to foster a community that serves up authentic content that is meaningful for our users. Recipes do come in all shapes and sizes, and while r/easyrecipes is intended for, well, easy recipes, there are some instances when a recipe might be too easy.

First time making crab cakes with left over king crab. This was super easy to follow and it really made exactly 6 half cup crab cakes! The tartar sauce was also amazing! Will always use this recipe for my left overs!

Perfect easy side dish! I have been making recipes for years and stumbled upon this recipe just to try something different. Everything is spot on just the way the recipe is written. However, this is the easiest recipe to play with. My go to spices are salt, pepper, season salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and a little bit of smoked paprika.

Super easy recipe, extended the time because of the roast in the oven at 350. I used fingerlings cut in half and roasted them for an hour. Came out great. My only complaint is the advertising laced through the recipe.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. They also freeze well for up to a month. Last time I made these, I doubled the recipe and stored the second batch in the freezer. It was so fun to have them on hand for a quick and easy dessert or afternoon treat!

We make this easy pizza dough recipe (paired with this homemade pizza sauce) at least once a week. Truly great pizza requires an outstanding crust. And that is what you get with this homemade pizza dough.

This recipe is really good and really easy. I also used your pizza sauce recipe and that turned out divine! Thanks so much my family really appreciates having homemade pizzas and with the crazy economy it is really much more affordable than eating out.

This chicken wonton soup recipe is so quick and easy to whip up. It has lots of healthy veggies and is semi-homemade using frozen wontons. Once the vegetables are chopped, the soup cooks in just under 15 minutes. First, you boil the ginger and garlic in the chicken broth for five minutes, which imparts wonderful flavor on the broth. Next, throw in the bok choy, cook five minutes, and then, add the wontons and mushrooms. Cook for a couple of minutes, stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil, and then serve in four bowls.

Taste: Perfect mixture of sweet and tangy, with tons of vanilla flavor. Not as sickeningly sweet as some bakeries and grocery stores!

Texture: Ultra smooth, creamy, and luscious.

Ease: Super duper easy, and can be made ahead of time!

Pros: Instantly amplifies pretty much any cake, cupcake, or other dessert.

Cons: None!!

Would I make this again? This is a component of many of my favorite recipes on the site ?

These Easy Homemade Flour Tortillas are so much better than anything from the store. Homemade tortillas are extra soft, doughy, and chewy. I like to add salted butter, for extra deliciousness. Fresh flour tortillas are so easy to make at home and pretty difficult to mess up. No yeast + no rising time = simple as can be!

Eating salmon can help lower your cholesterol and makes a great Meatless Monday option. As you may have been able to tell from my various salmon recipes, we eat it quite a bit! (For another great recipe idea, try my Air Fryer Salmon.) e24fc04721
