Land Measurement Tool (LMT) is a web-based land survey application that allows users to measure land areas using map overlays. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

By using LMT — through our website or the Android app on Google Play — you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the service:

Account Information: Username, email address, display name, and password (stored as a secure hash — never plain text).

Payment Information: When you upgrade to Pro, you submit a bKash transaction ID for manual verification. We do not collect bKash PINs, card numbers, or any financial credentials.

Plan & Subscription Data: Your plan type (Free/Pro), activation date, and expiry date.

Login Activity: Your IP address is used temporarily for brute-force protection (locking accounts after 5 failed attempts). It is not stored permanently.

Measurement & Drawing Data: All land polygons, area calculations, and scale calibrations you draw are stored only on your device (browser localStorage). This data is never sent to our servers.

Location Selection: The District, Upazila, and Mouza you select from the dropdown are administrative names only. We do not collect your GPS location or device location at any time.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account

• Verify plan payments and activate your subscription

• Send account-related emails (plan activation, expiry notification)

• Prevent unauthorized access and brute-force login attempts

• Deliver map scale calibration data for your selected location

We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your account data is stored on our secure server. Security measures include:

• Passwords hashed using WordPress's bcrypt-based secure hashing

• All API requests protected with nonce verification (CSRF protection)

• Login rate-limiting — accounts lock after 5 failed attempts

• Security headers on all responses (X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy)

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit

Your measurement drawings and app settings are stored only in your browser's localStorage and are never transmitted to our servers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data. We share information only in these limited cases:

Admin Notifications: When you submit a payment request, a notification is sent to our admin email. This includes your display name, requested plan, and transaction ID — no passwords or financial details.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by applicable law or legal process.

We have no data-sharing arrangements with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies.

6. Children's Privacy

Land Measurement Tool is a professional and educational tool intended for land survey purposes. It is not directed at children.

Age requirement: Users must be 13 years of age or older to register. For users in the EU/EEA, the minimum age is 16. If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete their account and all associated data immediately.

No advertisements: LMT displays no advertisements of any kind — not from Google, not from any ad network, certified or otherwise. This applies regardless of the user's age.

Appropriate content: All content within the app consists of maps, measurement tools, and administrative location dropdowns. There is no user-generated content, social features, chat, or content inappropriate for any age group.

COPPA compliance: In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

GDPR compliance: For users in the European Union, personal data is processed on the legal basis of contract performance (account registration) and legitimate interests (security and fraud prevention).

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you

• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate information

• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data

• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, readable format

8. Advertisements

Land Measurement Tool contains no advertisements. We do not integrate Google AdMob, Google Play certified ad networks, or any third-party ad SDK. The app is monetized solely through user subscriptions. No advertising-related code or SDK is present in the application.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. For significant changes, registered users will be notified by email. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
