This is the privacy policy for Easy Control Mars Commerce GSM device output controller tool.

Where we refer to "personal data" or "personal information" in this privacy policy we mean any data that may identify you as an individual.

Protecting your personal data and maintaining your trust is core to our mission at Mars Commerce.

Information collection and use

While using our application, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information (e.g. phone number).

Phone numbers are used for verification process and device output/system state synchronization if you decided to register your device via our web configuration tool.

Required application permissions and explanations

android.permission.READ_CONTACTS

Used when adding new device to simplify typing in device phone number.

This permission is not mandatory.

android.permission.SEND_SMS

Used for manipulating remote device direct controls (outputs, temperature, system).

Application is using your own SMS messaging system to trigger specific actions on your remote GSM device (e.g. Open doors)

For each action (e.g. button ON click) your android device sends one SMS to remote GSM device.

Please be advised that additional charges may apply in this case so please inquire with your GSM service provider about SMS prices.

This permission is mandatory.

android.permission.RECEIVE_SMS

Used in when receiving phone number verification code text message sent from our SMS gateway to your phone number.

android.permission.READ_SMS

Used when reading code from SMS to autofill code dialog within application.

android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE

Mandatory permission since Android 8.0 and up for sending SMS.

android.permission.INTERNET

Used in phone number verification process and synchronization device states between users via our web server.
