Outlook guide to setting up Earthlink mail

1 Start Outlook and open Account Settings.

Click on the File tab and in the Information category, click Account Settings

2 Create a new email account.

On the E-mail tab, click New

3 Enable Server Settings and click Next.

Check Server Settings.

4 Specify the email addresses on the Internet, click Next and enter the following data among the user data:

Your name: Your full name.
Email address: Your Earthlink email address.

5 In the Type account box under Server information select pop3 and fill in the following information:

Incoming email: pop.earthlink.net
Incoming port: 995
Outgoing email: smtpauth.earthlink.net
Outgoing port: 587

6 Under Login Information, fill in the following settings:

Email: Earthlink's email address
Password: Earthlink email password
Sign in securely: ssl

7 Congratulations, your account has been added!

Click "Test Account Settings". If all goes well, click Next and then when done.

Android guide to setup Earthlink mail

1 Open your email application from the list, add a new account and choose Other.
If you don't have an account yet, you can start set up right away. Otherwise, open Settings in the email app and choose Add Account.

2 On the next screen, enter your account details and click "Login":
Email: Your Earthlink email address
Password: Earthlink email password

3 Choose pop3 and enter the following details under "Incoming mail server":
pop3 server: pop.earthlink.net
Security type: ssl
Port: 995

4 In "Outgoing Server", enter the details below and choose "Login":
SMTP Server: smtpauth.earthlink.net
Security type: ssl
Port: 587
Verify email sent: Yes
Username: email
Password: Earthlink email password

5 Your account is now ready to use.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the email app on your smartphone to use your email.

iPhone Guide to Setting Up Earthlink Mail

1 Open "Settings", click "Passwords and accounts" and "Add account".

Click on your provider's name if it is listed, otherwise click on Other

2 Choose "Add a mail account", and enter the following information:

Name: Your own name

Email: Your Earthlink email address

Password: Earthlink email password

Description: personal description

3 Choose pop3 and enter the following details under "Incoming mail server":

Hostname: pop.earthlink.net

Username: your email address Earthlink

Password: Earthlink email password

4 Under Outgoing Server, enter the details below and choose Next:

Hostname: smtpauth.earthlink.net

Username: your email address Earthlink

Password: Earthlink email password

5 Make sure "Email" is selected and click "Save".

Your email account is now saved. In the following steps, we check that all settings are correct.

6 Click on your newly created email address and select "Advanced". Ensure that the following data is correct under Incoming Mail Server:

Use SSL: on

Identity Verification: Password

Server port: 995

7 Return to the previous screen and under Outgoing Server click smtpauth.earthlink.net. Make sure the following information is correct:

Use SSL: on

Identity Verification: Password

Server port: 587

8 Choose Done at the top right and restart your iPhone to activate the settings.

Congratulations, your account is now set up. Open the Mail app to use your account.
