Early Life

Gorgon Petragon was born into the House of Petragon and trained from an early age to become a powerful warrior and honorable paladin. His destiny was clear: to compete in the Times of Confrontation and potentially claim the throne of Attilan, ending the long-standing dominance of the House of Boltagon and restoring balance among the ruling families.

Through years of discipline and combat training, Gorgon rose as one of the strongest champions of his generation. When the time came, he and Blackagar Boltagon emerged as the final contenders for the crown, destined to face each other in a decisive and deadly confrontation.

However, before the final battle, Blackagar made an unexpected move—he invited Gorgon to speak privately in his confinement. There, instead of rivalry, the two found understanding. Gorgon realized that Blackagar’s motivations were not rooted in power, but in survival and the burden of his uncontrollable abilities.

Gorgon, too, had his own reasons to fight. Victory meant more than a crown—it meant freedom from the expectations placed upon him, a chance at a life beyond duty, and the possibility of being with the woman he loved.

The conversation revealed deeper truths about Attilan’s ruling system, particularly the secrecy and manipulation of the Boltagon lineage. Gorgon learned of the hidden fate of Maximus, Blackagar’s brother, who had been born without the Inhuman gene. Rather than face dishonor, the royal family concealed the truth, lying to both the Genetic Council and Maximus himself.

Faced with this reality, Gorgon and Blackagar chose cooperation over conflict. They reached an agreement: Gorgon would forgo the final battle, allowing Blackagar to ascend the throne. In return, Gorgon would serve as his general, helping to guide the empire toward a new future.

Together, they envisioned a transformed Attilan—one that would seek peace, reconcile with internal rebellion, and pursue the truth behind the legend of the Midnight Messiah, a figure believed to hold the key to the Inhumans’ destiny.
