Ava Ayala inherited both tragedy and legacy when she took on the mantle of the White Tiger. The mystical Amulet of Power, passed down through generations of warriors tied to K’un-Lun, became her burden and her gift after her brother Hector Ayala’s untimely death. Carrying the weight of his dream and the responsibility of the amulet, Ava transformed grief into justice, continuing a lineage of protectors bound to the spirit of the Tiger.
The Amulet of Power is a legendary artifact rooted in the mystical city of K’un-Lun. Originally, its energy was divided into three jade splinters, forged by the Iron Fist himself and bestowed upon the city’s three greatest warriors. These warriors, known as the Sons of the Tiger, acted as emissaries of K’un-Lun for three generations, carrying out their ancestor’s mission on Earth. Eventually, the Sons decided their duty had run its course and unified the three relics into a single amulet, leaving behind a concentrated power of immense potential.
During an expedition in Mexico, explorer Hector Ayala uncovered the amulet and experienced a profound spiritual connection to it. Returning to Puerto Rico, Hector became the first White Tiger. Though driven by justice, his role as a vigilante drew suspicion from the community and placed his family in danger. His secret identity was discovered by Gideon Matos, a powerful figure in the local drug trafficking network, who began to threaten Hector’s loved ones.
Despite his courage, Hector’s life ended in tragedy. Cornered by traffickers, he disappeared — one more victim of organized crime. Before his death, he left behind a farewell letter and entrusted the Amulet of Power to his family, making sure his legacy would not vanish with him.
He entrusted the Amulet of Power to his younger sister, Ava Ayala, along with a farewell note. To keep her safe, Ava was sent to live with her cousin Angela Del Toro in the United States. Angela, already a strong figure in her own right, became Ava’s guardian and a bridge between her childhood grief and her new path as a vigilante.
With it, she inherited not only mystical abilities but also Hector’s dream of a better, safer world. The amulet heightened her physical prowess, sharpened her senses, and bound her to the spirit of the Tiger — a mystical force that fueled her strength but also carried the weight of its own will. To Ava, this power was not just a tool but a sacred responsibility, one that tied her destiny to both her brother’s memory and the long tradition of K’un-Lun.
