Early Life

Beyond the Gotham River, where the city gives way to dense and forgotten woods, lies a place long abandoned by civilization. Once home to early settlers and their cemeteries, the area has since decayed into something quieter… and far more dangerous.

It is here that the figure known as Professor Pyg emerged.

Little is truly known about the man behind the mask. Stories conflict, shifting depending on who tells them. Some claim he was once a cook for royalty, others say he served powerful political figures, while a few insist he was a performer, a man tied to spectacle and illusion. There are even whispers that he escaped from something far worse, a place where madness was not treated, only contained. But across all versions, one detail remains consistent.

Lazlo Valentin, if that is truly his name, became something else entirely within those woods. A man obsessed not just with food, but with transformation. To him, cooking is not sustenance.
