Biography 

Early Life

Floyd Lawton was born into a wealthy yet troubled family. His father was an abusive husband and an alcoholic, which, from childhood, caused Floyd to harbor immense contempt for his paternal figure.

One day, Mr. Lawton came home drunk from work, accompanied by a prostitute, and assaulted his wife in front of their children. Humiliated, Genevieve Lawton stole the gun her husband kept hidden in their quarters and handed it to her eldest son, forcing him to kill his own father.

Floyd climbed a tree and aimed at his father, who was sitting in the dining room beside his younger brother, Eddie. When Eddie saw his brother armed, he smiled.

He fired without hesitation, but by mistake, he killed his brother.

It was then that he made his vow: he would never miss a shot again. 

On streets

He was expelled from home and grew up on the streets, joining groups of delinquent teenagers to survive. To stand out among them, he decided to master the use of every type of firearm.

It was on the streets that he met his ex-wife, with whom he had his beloved daughter, Zoe Lawton. Thus, as a specialist, he could charge more when working with his gang as a mercenary.

As Deadshot

Deadshot became the highest-paid mercenary in the country, responsible for orchestrating complex and flawless assassinations. He rented a penthouse in Gotham City to live with his daughter and attempt to reconcile with his ex-wife, but his greatest mistake was crossing paths with the world’s greatest detective.

It was only a matter of time before Batman tracked him down and captured him, sending him to Blackgate.

Task-Force-X

That was when he first came into contact with Amanda Waller, the U.S. Secretary of Defense. She presented him with the opportunity to join the first formation of Task Force X— a unique chance to work alongside the American government in exchange for the gradual forgiveness of his sentence.
