If you want high-fidelity audio and seamless multitasking for calls on the go, choose EarFun Air 2; if you need a dedicated listening station for TV viewing with instant charging convenience and enhanced speech clarity, choose Avantree Loop Dock.
• EarFun Air 2: Offers superior Hi-Res audio with LDAC support and advanced noise cancellation, but requires managing a charging case and lacks a dedicated dock for desk-side use.
• Avantree Loop Dock: Features a unique drop-in charging dock and specialized Voice Clear EQ for TV dialogue, though it sacrifices high-resolution codecs and portable battery life for its stationary design.
• The Verdict: Pick the EarFun Air 2 if your priority is premium sound quality and active noise cancellation for mobile life; choose the Avantree Loop Dock if you spend most of your time in front of a screen needing effortless management and clear voice playback.
The EarFun Air 2 is engineered for the listener who demands studio-grade fidelity without compromising on mobility. At its core lies a 10mm wool composite dynamic driver system paired with the LDAC codec. This combination allows the earbuds to transfer three times more data than standard wireless transmission, effectively minimizing signal degradation. If you are an audiophile or simply someone who notices the difference between compressed music and lossless tracks, this is the device that preserves the sonic detail you expect from your library. The frequency range extends up to 40 kHz, ensuring that the highs remain crisp and the lows retain their depth, making it one of the strongest contenders for best bluetooth headphones for calls when music quality is also a factor.
Beyond pure audio performance, the design philosophy here focuses heavily on all-day wearability and connection stability. Weighing in at just 0.16 ounces (4.5 grams), these buds are nearly invisible in the ear. The ergonomic shape is molded to fit a wide variety of ear structures, and the package includes four different ear tips to help users achieve a perfect seal. This attention to fit is critical not just for comfort, but for the effectiveness of the Active Noise Cancellation. The QuietSmart 2.0 technology can reduce environmental noises by up to 43 dB, creating a quiet bubble whether you are commuting, working in a busy office, or trying to focus on a task at home.

For professionals who rely on their devices for constant communication, the EarFun Air 2 delivers a robust solution. It utilizes six Environmental Noise Cancellation microphones working in tandem with Qualcomm cVc 8.0 technology. This setup actively picks up your voice while filtering out unwanted background chatter and wind noise, which is essential for crystal-clear call quality. Furthermore, the inclusion of Bluetooth 5.3 and multipoint connectivity means you can stay connected to two devices simultaneously. You can switch effortlessly between a laptop meeting and a smartphone call without having to unpair or reconfigure anything. If you are looking for usb c charging bluetooth earbuds for calls that double as a primary music player, this unit is built specifically for that dual-purpose lifestyle. However, those who prefer a "set it and forget it" desktop experience might find the need to manage a small charging case less convenient than a permanent docking station.
The Avantree Loop Dock serves a very specific niche: the person who treats their living room or home office as a primary listening environment. Unlike traditional true wireless earbuds that scatter in a drawer, the Loop Dock integrates a drop-in charging dock directly into the user experience. You simply place the neckband earbuds into the dock, and they are instantly charged and ready for the next session. There are no cables to plug in or small ports to fumble with, making it an ideal choice for anyone who wants a hassle-free transition between watching a movie and taking a break. This design eliminates the anxiety of finding a low battery before starting a long film or a lengthy conference call on a PC.
The standout feature for home entertainment is the Voice-Focused EQ mode. The device offers three distinct EQ presets, but the "Voice Clear" setting is particularly transformative for TV watching. By enhancing speech clarity, it ensures that dialogue stands out against background scores and sound effects. This makes it exceptionally helpful for seniors or anyone who struggles to hear conversations in news programs, talk shows, and movies. While other headphones might drown out the actors' lines in favor of explosive bass, the Loop Dock prioritizes intelligibility, making it a practical tool for daily media consumption where understanding the plot is paramount.
Connectivity is another area where the Loop Dock shines for its intended use cases. It supports the latest Auracast technology alongside classic Bluetooth, allowing for flexible multi-listener setups in public venues or future-proofing your home audio ecosystem. Built on a Qualcomm QCC chipset with aptX Adaptive support, it significantly reduces audio lag. This low latency is crucial for lip-sync accuracy when watching video content on a PC or smart TV, ensuring that the audio matches the action on screen perfectly. However, users should note that this model is designed primarily for TVs and devices with built-in Bluetooth audio. If your television relies solely on HDMI ARC, Optical, or AUX outputs, this unit will not connect directly without an external transmitter. Additionally, while the sound isolation is effective, it does not offer the same level of active noise cancellation found in the EarFun Air 2, meaning you are still exposed to ambient room noise unless you use the physical seal of the ear tips.

I would buy the EarFun Air 2 because it is the more versatile tool for modern life. While the Avantree Loop Dock has a clever dock, its reliance on a stationary base limits its utility outside the home, and it lacks the deep noise cancellation required for focused work or travel. The EarFun Air 2, conversely, delivers professional-grade call quality and immersive music performance that works anywhere. For anyone seeking sleep headphones for calls or best bluetooth headphones for calls that don't sacrifice audio fidelity, the EarFun Air 2 is the superior choice. Its ability to handle high-data LDAC streams and six-mic noise cancellation makes it a true all-rounder, whereas the Loop Dock feels like a single-trick pony optimized strictly for living room TV viewing.
No, the Avantree Loop Dock requires a direct Bluetooth output from the TV; if your TV only uses HDMI ARC, Optical, or AUX, you will need a separate transmitter. The EarFun Air 2 connects to any device with standard Bluetooth, including phones and tablets used as sources.
The EarFun Air 2 comes with a charging case that supports USB-C charging, providing a reliable power source for the buds on the go. The Avantree Loop Dock uses a proprietary drop-in dock mechanism rather than a traditional cable for the neckband itself.
The EarFun Air 2 is the clear winner here, featuring Hybrid ANC technology that reduces noise by up to 43 dB. The Avantree Loop Dock relies on passive sound isolation through the ear tips and does not include active noise cancellation features.
Yes, the Loop Dock supports aptX Adaptive, which helps reduce audio lag for smoother lip-sync during gaming or video watching. The EarFun Air 2 also supports aptX Adaptive, but the Loop Dock's design is specifically tuned for fixed-screen entertainment.
