If you want a secure, custom-fit solution to stop your existing Apple EarPods from falling out while gaming or working out, choose EARBUDi Only; if you need durable, over-ear headphones designed for extended listening sessions in classrooms or at home, choose Yoley Kids Headphones.
• EARBUDi Only: Its biggest strength is the flexible wire design that molds perfectly to any ear shape to lock standard wired EarPods in place during high-impact movement; its trade-off is that it requires you to already own compatible Apple wired EarPods and offers no audio isolation on its own.
• Yoley Kids Headphones: Its biggest strength is the robust 40mm driver and padded on-ear design built for long-term comfort and volume control for students; its trade-off is the bulkier form factor which lacks the portability of true in-ear solutions.
• The Verdict: Buy EARBUDi Only if you are an active gamer who hates losing their buds mid-match; buy Yoley Kids Headphones if you need a reliable pair for schoolwork, remote learning, or family movie nights.
This product is not a set of headphones; it is an accessory engineered to solve one specific frustration: the inability of standard Apple wired EarPods to stay seated in your ears during motion. If you love the sound quality of those classic white buds but find them slipping out every time you jump, turn your head, or sprint, this clip is the answer. The design relies on soft rubber loops with internal flexible wires that you can bend and shape to match the unique contour of your ear. Once molded, they provide a passive hold that prevents the buds from sliding out, even when you are sweating heavily or lifting weights.
For the competitive gamer using a voice assistant gaming headset setup, this solution is particularly clever. Many gamers prefer the clarity of wired connections to avoid latency, yet they struggle with wireless headsets being too hot or heavy. By securing the standard EarPods with these clips, you effectively transform them into sport-grade earbuds without buying new hardware. The "in-ear" placement combined with the external hook creates a seal that improves the listening experience by allowing you to keep the volume lower, as the buds stay put and don't require constant reinsertion. It turns a basic accessory into a dedicated sports tool.

However, you should skip this product if you do not own the specific Apple wired EarPods that ship with iPhones. These clips are strictly designed to snap onto those particular buds; they will not work with any wireless Bluetooth earbuds or other brands' wired models. Furthermore, because the device itself does not have a driver or microphone, you are entirely dependent on the audio source and the original EarPods for sound quality. If you need noise cancellation or a built-in mic for calls, this is just a retention tool, not a complete audio system. It is a niche fix for a very specific problem involving Apple's legacy wired audio.
Yoley Kids Headphones take a completely different approach, aiming for durability and all-day comfort rather than athletic retention. These are over-ear style headphones featuring rounded earpieces designed to sit comfortably on the outside of the ear rather than inside the canal. This makes them ideal for children, teenagers, and adults who need to wear headphones for long periods without the pressure or pain that can come from in-ear devices. The enclosure is made of sturdy plastic, and the adjustable headband ensures a customizable fit for various head sizes, making them a versatile choice for a classroom or a family living room.
The audio performance here is driven by enhanced 40mm Neodymium drivers, which are significantly larger than typical in-ear drivers. This size difference translates to a more immersive soundstage, perfect for online courses, watching movies, or listening to music with extra bass. The frequency range spans from 20 Hz to 20KHz, covering the full spectrum of human hearing. For a student sitting through a four-hour study session or a gamer looking for an immersive single-player experience, the on-ear design distributes weight better than tiny buds. The gold-plated 3.5 mm jack ensures a stable connection with minimal interference, providing a clean audio signal that supports clear dialogue during remote learning or intense game dialogue.
Durability is a major selling point for this model. The cables are widened and thickened to resist tangling and breakage, which is crucial for kids who might toss their headphones in a backpack. The cord length is substantial at 4 feet, giving ample freedom of movement so a child isn't tethered tightly to a desk. Additionally, the inclusion of media controls allows for easy management of playback without reaching for a phone. While they lack active noise cancellation, the physical design of the on-ear cups provides a degree of passive isolation. They are built to withstand the rigors of daily use in schools, libraries, and museums, backed by a one-year warranty that suggests confidence in their build quality.
• Best for Athletic Retention → EARBUDi Only: The moldable wire hook physically locks the buds in place during running, jumping, and high-intensity workouts where standard buds fail.
• Best for Extended Comfort → Yoley Kids Headphones: The on-ear design with padding is superior for long sessions, preventing the ear fatigue common with in-ear plugs.
• Best for Immersive Audio → Yoley Kids Headphones: The 40mm drivers offer a richer, fuller sound profile compared to the smaller dynamic drivers found in standard EarPods.
• Best for Gaming (Voice Assistant) → EARBUDi Only: If you rely on a voice assistant for commands while gaming, the secure fit of the EarPods ensures you won't lose the mic position during action.
• Best for Classroom/Remote Learning → Yoley Kids Headphones: The 4-foot cord and durable construction make them safer and more practical for students moving around desks or carrying them in bags.
• Best Value for Existing Hardware → EARBUDi Only: If you already have Apple EarPods gathering dust, this is a cheap way to upgrade them for active use without buying a whole new headset.
• Best for Bulk Needs → Yoley Kids Headphones: Sold as a 2-pack, this is the logical choice for parents needing multiple units for siblings or sharing within a household.
• Best for Portability → EARBUDi Only: At only 5.67 grams, it adds negligible weight and takes up almost no space in a pocket compared to the 0.34 kg Yoley unit.
I would choose the EARBUDi Only if my primary goal was gaming while staying active or commuting. The ability to secure standard wired EarPods means I get the low-latency audio necessary for a voice assistant gaming headset for gaming without the bulk of a large headset. However, if I were buying for a child's school needs or a family setup where comfort and volume safety matter most, I would pick the Yoley Kids Headphones. In my opinion, the Yoley unit wins on pure versatility and durability for general listening, while the EARBUDi is a brilliant, targeted fix for a specific retention issue.
Both products use a standard 3.5 mm jack, so they are generally compatible with Android devices, tablets, and computers that have a headphone port. Note that EARBUDi Only specifically fits the shape of Apple EarPods, so you must use those buds with it regardless of your phone brand.
Yes, the 40mm drivers provide a wide frequency range suitable for gaming, and the wired connection eliminates lag. However, they are over-ear style, so they may be less comfortable for some players during marathon sessions compared to lightweight in-ear options.
The product description emphasizes a "forget it's there" support using soft rubber. Since they are external hooks that conform to the ear's shape rather than inserting deep into the canal, they are designed to be comfortable even for users who wear glasses.
While they are durable, they are not designed for high-impact sports like the EARBUDi solution. The on-ear design and longer cable are better suited for stationary activities, walking, or light jogging, but they may bounce or shift during intense running.
